Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
Fantastic concept with terrible implementation. Sizing is off by 1 to 1.5 too large and the strap design is not only poor, but an outright dangerous tripping hazard. These offer no confidence in your step and are lightyears behind the Terra Fi sandals as you can not use these for any activity other than sitting around or walking from one spot to another on flat ground. My review may be harsh on these but they are truly junk. I'm still a Teva fan and of course huge REI fan, but these will be discontinued in a matter of weeks, I hope the new model will have a real strap at the front.
To be more specific about the issue, the sole and top 2 straps are very good, but; having an elastic toe strap that is not adjustable combined with the fact the soles are thin and VERY flexible cause the sole to flex under your foot as you walk, no biggie yet. If anything even slightly grabs the sole the front will slip off your toe and fold up leaving you mid-stride with only 1/2 a sandal on. These are a hazard!!!
Teva simply should have made minimalist Terra Fi sandals and they would have been a huge hit! It's a shame they went this way!

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
I use the Ziltch for outdoor workouts in warm weather. I didn't like the look of the other running sandals. These felt really comfortable the moment I tried them on in the store and looked great. I travel year round doing fitness seminars and these will pack very nicely and give me another footwear choice. I haven't had any problems with the sandal slipping or coming off like the other guy mentioned. I've taken a few trail runs with no problems.
My only reservation was the toe loop. It took some getting used to. I had read on another site that the guy got a blister from the loop. I pre-stretched the loop with a pop bottle before I wore them. No blister! I found they run a bit small so I went up a half size and they feel fine. I like the foot bed on my sandals to extend out past my toes a bit as a cushion. I don't like the feel of my toes being on the edge.
I really like these sandals. I can see these being my go to warm weather footwear. Don't be put off by the other one star rating. Definitely don't buy on line. Try them on. Everyone's foot is different.

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
When I first got these I was a bit disappointed as the front strap (not the toe strap but the one that goes all the way across your foot) kept digging into the top of my foot to the point that little blisters arose on both my feet in the same place. I stuck with them though and I'm glad I did. Each time I wore them they loosened up more and more, and now they are great. It took wearing them a half dozen times to get there though. Now I wear them everywhere...casually, as a camp shoe backpacking, the beach, lite bike riding, even wore them all day while touring a city last weekend with no problems. Very lite, nice and comfortable, and pack up very small. These were true to size for me.

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
This is an amazing sandal once it is broken in. The straps took nearly a month to soften up, but now they are my favorite shoes when I'm not wearing Vibram FiveFingers and want a little cushion for walking around while still allowing my feet to work naturally. They are also a great lightweight camp shoe and river crossing shoe for backpacking.

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
I was 65 when I purchased a pair of the Teva Zilch's and was concerned that the balls of my foot were too thin to survive with Zilch's. I was wrong. They were very comfortable. I can even walk in them. I plan to wear them as long as my feet can be comfortable in them. I particularly got them for water-land wear as slip-ons tend to slip off and beach sandals tend to twist around. Other beach shoes don't dry readily and these Zilch's do. They super light and super packable.

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
These shoes are great for people who are already on board the minimalist/barefoot lifestyle. There is nothing to them, which is the point! Great "BF" shoe for when you need to wear shoes.
Took the suggestion in various reviews and ordered 1/2 size up from other Tevas for a perfect fit.
The across-the-foot strap does need to be broken in a bit, so build up on wearing them before you head out on an all-day hike with them.

Comments about Teva Zilch Sandals - Men's:
I was in Vegas without any hiking gear and wanted to hike Mt Charleston this summer. I tried the Zilch on in the store and they felt great. I wear a size 10 shoe and the 10 Zilch fit perfect so I gave them a shot on the hike. The first day we did a short 4 mi loop trekking back and forth over and through a stream. They performed great and were extremely comfortable. However I didn't realize the front strap was starting to create a small blister. I didn't realize this until day 2 near the apex of our 6 mi hike. I significantly loosened the straps and continued. Just as you'll read in the other posts, I'm glad I stuck with them. They are my favorite footwear now. I wear them everywhere I can-yard work, walks, short runs, around town-extremely comfortable! It only took me 1 easy and 1 strenuous hikes, but they are broke in and and fit like a glove. I would highly recommend. Especially if you are reading these reviews, you can avoid the initial blister by taking it easy in them until they straps are a little more broken in.
