Comments about Teva Gnarkosi Water Shoes - Men's:

I bought these somewhere else other than REI as I wanted the bright blue, Ceramic version, but I felt I should write a review as I love the shoes.

I have had these shoes for about two months now, and they are my go to shoe for wading in the river, hanging out around town when it may (or is) raining, and for wake skating.

The shoes are incredibly lightweight, and the materials are water specific enabling them to dry very fast. The drains all along the sole and heel actually work, and I never feel water pooled up below.

They work well as just a comfy shoe when flip flops won't cut it, and even out of the water. The venting and drain system also let a good amount of air flow through them.

Whenever we go camping, I always wear these as I am in the water a lot, especially when off-roading in our FJ. So nice to be able to hop out and have grip on slippery rocks in the river if the truck gets hung up.

The sole is rather stiff and flat, as they are initially made for Wake Skating...but this is great for support.

The only downfall is they have a skate style tread pattern...not a lot of traction on loose terrain, etc. But, they are perfect in river sand, rock, or paved and gravel trails.
