      I made my husband select a pair of socks when we were at REI since he only had cheap socks that come in a pack. He thought it was ridiculous to pay so much for just a pair of socks and he was perfectly happy with his other socks. After he wore these hiking, walking, working out he is convinced that it is the greatest sock in the world and he wants more so he can wear them all the time. Since he wears them often they get washed frequently and have held up well with no signs of wear. He likes that they have good cushioning and a good design (no extra fabric anywhere, fits perfectly with his hiking shoes, and just feels good).
