Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
Love the adjustable straps, fits sandal to your precise size for a snug fit. Although - they do need routine adjustment so they don't cut off the circulation to your big toe! Perfect for summer hikes and especially, crossing creeks. Very stable, great traction, COMFORTABLE! And cute cute!

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I really wanted to love these sandals! I think they are the cutest of the Chaco sandals, and was excited to buy them. Getting the fit right takes some time the first couple times, but just follow the diagram. I love the footbed of these sandals..very supportive and durable. However, the toe loop eventually drove me mad. I would get the fit just right, and the toe loop would seem to tighten after an hour or so of wear. I found myself constantly having to adjust the straps, etc. I would start out with the loop around my toe fairly loose, and would end up with the two thin straps digging into my toe. It was really a claustrophobic feeling![...]exchange them for the Y/1, which do not have the toe loop. They are so much more comfortable!! Unless you are wearing these for a lot of hiking (and are concerned about your toe being "free"), look into the Y/1. They are also easier to adjust (the thin straps look cute, but I think make getting the fit just right a little harder). But I love the footbed and overall quality. Comfortable to stand in all day (ie Disney), play at the playground, or for light hikes.

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
I have owned my pair of black Z2's since 2006. They are without-a-doubt my #1 pair of shoes or sandals. I have worn them throughout the summer season in Texas, Alabama, and now in Idaho. I wear them to all-day events like festivals, to the beach, and camping. I proudly have a Chaco suntan shortly into the sandal season.
I have worn my Chaco's so long that the straps are starting to fray a bit but fit like a glove. I recall they were a bit heavy and the straps rubbed a little when they were first new, but with frequent wear they are the ultimate sandal. I'm sure I'll go through a period of mourning when these finally break, but I believe they are repairable with reChaco.
They do not disappoint!

Comments about Chaco ZX/2 Yampa Sandals - Women's:
Like other reviewers, I wanted to like these sandals. At first all was well. I had the usual adjustment issues but got past those. Had the fit just right. Enjoyed wearing the sandals a couple hours at a time and found that I prefer the look of the Yampas to the heavier sole and tread of the Unaweeps. Then, the first time I wore this pair for several hours, I found that by the end of the day the straps on the left sandal were so tight that my big toe had marks for hours after I removed them. I've worn these sandals at the end of the day before and I think my foot was no more swollen that day than it had been any other. And, oddly, the right sandal still fit comfortably. These are wonderful sandals in many respects, but I'm not willing to continually adjust them so I'm sending them back. Gonna swap them for the toe-less kind even though I don't think they're as attractive.

I wanted to love these sandals. If I wear them for a short amount of time I do love them! However, I don't much like having to take them off every half hour to re-adjust the straps around the toe. Since all of the straps are attached through the sole of the shoe, as you walk it pulls tighter and tighter on the straps. After a bit of walking, if your big toe isn't purple yet it will be soon. Other than this (pretty big) issue, they are wonderful sandles. I wear them to work for a dressy/casual look and they are wonderful.

Wow! i bought these shoes about a month ago in the green color, and i LOVE these shoes! yes, they are an investment, but they last forever! I just recently went on an outdoors hiking/rafting/outdoorsy trip and they were perfect. Some people think that they are ugly, but i personally think they are super cute. They are a little more difficult to adjust than a single strap, because you have to make sure that both straps are pulled at the same time, but it's not that big of a deal. You will not be sorry if you buy these!

Loved the shoe....but wear 8 1/2 which they do not come in. Had to get size 8, 9 were too big! I have very thin feet. Had sandals for a year, kept trying to wear them...ended up with blisters every time! Super sad! Have many friends that have them with no problems. Unfortunately, I had to return them.
