Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
I prefer the original 5 inch baggies, but these aren't bad either.

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
I bot a pair back in the 80s that I wore forever.
These seem to be comparable material but the waist (size L) is too big and shorts keep slipping down my waist. I am 36-38 waist so L should be right size. Don't know why they are soo loose on my waist.

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
These were a bit of an impulse buy, but I have no regrets. I took these on a 2 week long trip to Brazil, and I should have thrown out all my other shorts. These make fantastic travel shorts. They were stellar for the beach, great to hike in and very livable. The mediums fit a 32 waist perfectly. The deep pockets were very welcome when walking around town, making them much more functional than your average swim trunk. These are my new favorite shorts for hot summer days!

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
I already have 8 of these & look forward to some new colors in the future (earth tones would be nice). I use them for running in a large swimming pool (averaging about 1 mile per day year round here in Arizona).

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
Baggies are indestructible, last night I ran in a pair that must be close to 30 yo. The liner is long gone but the shell remains functional. I like the 7" because when running they never bulk up into the groin area like other light weights are inclined to do. As to those who say 7's fit differently than 5's, not in my case. Also a great wear-anywhere casual short.

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
I'm 6'3" and was concerned about length as it's often a problem with my height. I've heard people complain about the 7" being too long, but at my height they fit perfect, maybe 3"-5" above my knee. However shorter people will likely find the 5" to fit better. I like the back pocket to put my wallet in. I wore them all day yesterday, went climbing in them, hung out by a pool and swam in them, and ended up going to the movies later that night in them. Truly all purpose shorts.

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
my husband LOVES the patagonia 5" baggies. It's the only shorts he wears in the summer, so I decided to get him another pair. I bought him the 7" ones because that is all REI had, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal.
he won't even wear them. at all. he says they don't fit the same and he doesn't even want them. Returning these. I guess there is a big difference between the two sizes. As others here have mentioned, PLEASE bring back the 5"

I am a jogger and use my cell phone for music and an app that tracks my mileage and course. Most jogging shorts have pockets on the front and the phone bangs around. The back pocket works great.

Comments about Patagonia Baggies Long Shorts - Men's:
The 5" Patagonia Baggies are the apogee of humanity. The 7" inseam, however, isn't so great. They feel a bit constricting. I have a pair of the original 5" inseam Baggies, and those allow for a greater range of motion during active pursuits. Please bring back the 5" inseam.
