Comments about Big Agnes Whiskey Park +0 Degree Sleeping Bag:

This bag is engineered extremely well!! Since I am an engineer, I can say that.

I just got the bag today. It works great in my living room, but I'm so impressed by the features, I may have to sleep in the back yard tonight to try it out.

I got a TNF Snow Leopard for Christmas from the wife. It claims to be designed roomy. On this point I call BS. If you like your knees slammed together, squeezing your junk, then go for it. I promptly returned it to REI and ordered the Big Agnes Whiskey Park and bought a new cook set, because BA is less expensive.

      List of brilliant features.
      1. The pad sleeve, so you won't slide off of the pad.
      2. Small slits on either side to accommodate the fill valve.
      3. The insulation gap on the back is slightly narrower than the pad, so no cold spots.
      4. Pillow pocket.
      5. Hook loops for bag liner.
      6. Contoured draft tube under chin that comes up to ears for a good seal around your head.
      7. Stiff denier along inside of zipper to prevent snags. The only possible design improvement would be a matching strip on the outside, so that side won't snag, but it's minor.
      8. The bag packs much smaller and is lighter than I thought it would be.
      9. Finally, IT IS ROOMY!!!. I'm 6'1" 300lbs and there is plenty of room to move around and sleep on my side. I can have my legs more than 3' apart.

I am now a big fan of Big Agnes. I will be looking at their stuff 1st for future backpacking purchases.

Comments about Big Agnes Whiskey Park +0 Degree Sleeping Bag:

Used it this weekend on a boy scout campout with temps in the low 30's and it was great. I'm 6'2" and 300lbs and I fit just fine. Be sure to use a ground mat as there is NO insulation on the bottom, but that is by design and it's a good design. if you put filling on the bottom, you then eliminate it's effect when you lay on it, so why waste good filling? Use a liner as it was designed for and it will perform well. The opening at the top has fitted areas that wrap around your head and keep the warm air in.
