I'm a big tall guy. I had a mummy bag, but it restricted movement. I like having room to move my feet and arms. This bag gives plenty of room without losing heat. I rolled out the bag for the first time, got in, and immediately felt it warm up. A little thin for cold weather, but this will serve as a great outer if I ever need to double. The sack is comfortable without a pad, but if you like to not feel like you're sleeping on the ground, the pads are a great addition. The memory foam pillow is great as well. The bag rolls up and packs in a sack about 1/4 the size of the box it came in. Very light weight and perfect for backpacking.

this was a great buy for me cause i am a bigger guy but i love camping and hiking and all the other light weight bags are just to cramped for me i stay warm in it and the sleeping pad sleeve is amazing you dont roll of your pad i have slept in it with out the pad and am still plenty warm great bag

Another big guy who backpacks but just can't do a mummy bag. This bag is able to fit inside my backpack, although it does take up a good bit of room.

I like that it is only insulated on one side. Allows me to have the non-insulated side up when it's a little warmer, then turn it over as the night gets colder.

Although the sleeve for the sleeping pad sounds like a good idea, I don't use it. Doing so prevents the bag from cinching up tight around your neck on cold nights.

Overall, this is an excellent compromise between space and weight.

I chose this because I'm a big guy (6'1, 260 lbs) and like to be warm AND have room and some of the mummy bags are too tight for me. I used it this past weekend camping at Assateague. It was about 42 degrees, I had on a thin long-sleeved shirt, and was toasty all night. Plus, I sleep on my side and this bag has room for me to turn inside of the bag, without turning the entire bag. I also like that my pad (Exped SynMat 7) fit in the bottom of the bag perfectly. The pillow fitting where I could stuff my clothes in to make a pillow and save weight in my pack is a good feature. This bag doesn't cover your head like other bags, so you need a hat on the cold nights. For the price, I don't mind wearing a hat.

Two features attracted me to this bag. One was the estimated comfort range, the second was the dimentions. It doesn't get so cold in in Alabama that (to me) a "summer" bag would be fine by itself most of the time and require no more than a fleece liner on the cold nights. And, being a big guy and a "side sleeper", every spare inch is important. This bag fits the bill nicely. The fact that the mattress sleeve fits my air mat perfectly is an additional bonus.
