Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Jaya Multisport Shoes - Women's:
I have been looking forward to dividend time just to get vibrams. I'm glad I went into the store and tried them on. I was originally going to get the smaller ballet slipper type ones, but they were not all that comfortable. These feel like you are walking around in socks. I wore them to work for a few weeks, but they smell really bad. I've washed them a few times and line dried them in the shade, but no help. I wear a lot of ballet flats without socks and none of them smell, but these are just gross.
I've taken them out hiking a few times. I love that they weigh nothing. I can hike farther without my legs getting tired like they do with hiking boots or even sneakers. The toes are wearing out quickly though. I wish the rubber bottom came up around the toes a little more. They are definitely not made for rocky new England trails. They do dry quickly. These will be used for hiking easy trails with the kids and as water shoes in the future.
I may purchase one of their more substantial fivefingers and try them with toe socks for hiking.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Jaya Multisport Shoes - Women's:
These are my second pair of Vibram Fivefingers. I chose these for more day to day use and they are perfect. They still work for a light workout day or a walk on even ground but don't have the support that my other pair have because they lack the band across the top of the foot. Still a great pair of shoes though and they look cute and sporty, perfect for summer!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Jaya Multisport Shoes - Women's:
I wear these shoes daily, everywhere! When I run and when I teach. They are the only shoes I can be on my feet all day and my feet and back don't ache at the end of it. I first tried a different style (and wore them out BTW) but I was never really happy with them. When I went to a different REI location to get another pair, I tried these on and fell in love. Just ordered another pair! Throw them in the wash once a week and let them air dry. I have worn them in snow, on ice, hardwood floors, grass, sidewalks...everywhere. The only thing I can compare them to is a handmade pair of fine moccasins.

i have bunions arthritic feet. these shoes correct crooked toes comfy and better than bunion sox cuz toes arent exposed/cold. i use dress orthotics for arch support in jaya toe shoes cuz i have flat feet. i wear these at home as slippers and to bed and in hotel layover (i am flight attnt). i tried 5 diff prs these r easiest on/off/most comfy and easy to wear to bed to help as toe regulator/help stretch/strengthen/correct arthritic feet. loooove my jaya toe shoes. thanx vibram/rei :) fits in luggage easily/compact.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Jaya Multisport Shoes - Women's:
VFF's have solved my problem of sore knees and feet after long hikes. After messing up my meniscus in well cushioned running shoes, I quit running but continued hiking. It gradually got so that my knee would ache after only a few miles of hiking; running was out of the question. Within a half hour or so after hiking, if I sat still, my feet would also stiffen up so much that I could hardly walk.
I have done 10-mile hikes in these and no pain. (See below for the modification I make on the cushioning.) I'm tempted to try running again.
I tried these after wearing Classics for a year or so. Vastly better; just getting rid of the heel elastic was worth it, and these have a bit more material between my feet and the rocks and gravel. They are, however, still a bit undercushioned if you hit that piece of gravel that's just the right size.
There are 2 solutions to that, both of which involve going up one size:
1. Wear Injinji toe socks, which add just a tiny bit more material (and some warmth in colder weather).
2. Get disposable insoles and cut off the toe area (or there are insoles meant for women's high heels that are already minus the toes).
My one beef, but not enough to downrate them, is that they are not great in cold wet weather. VFF has come out with a model that is supposed to be water resistant; I'm going to try those for this winter. But for other seasons, these are great.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Jaya Multisport Shoes - Women's:
These were my first pair of Vibrams and I have been wearing them almost every day for the past 10 months. One of the traction pieces is coming off on one shoe, but other than that they're still in good shape. They are comfortable, but don't offer much cushion and are the least waterproof of all the Vibrams I own (just walking over wet ground and the slightest puddles completely soaks my feet). I recommend them for indoor use (I wear them primarily for being on my feet at work all day and for the gym). They are very easy to get on and off once you get used to the separate toe slots, and they are breathable and don't make my feet feel constricted at all.

These are comfy shoes for walking in my neighborhood and just everyday wear. It's like walking barefoot in comfort and with style. They are very lightweight and do NOT hurt my feet. You just have to get used to having your toes in individual pockets.
