by fromRenegade Pants for hiking I bought these pants based on a friend's recommendation for the GORUCK challenge. I needed something light weight, tough, and breathable. I've used these pants on a climb to the top of Mt. St. Helens and a 20 mile flat land ruck and had good results with both. I plan on using these pants in a GORUCK challenge this November.

by fromI disagree with Mr. Scot Hey, I don't mind a fair product review, even one that points out flaws of Kuhl products. This however, is unfounded, hearsay (he quotes someone else) and not even a review of the pants (more of Kuhl's entire brand). Kuhl use YKK zippers, the best in the industry; YKK zippers are designed to not fall down. If one failed, Kuhl would have warrantied it. He says he asked his friends (hearsay) and "they all agree that the quality of kuhl is poor." I'd like to challenge 'mr. scott' to get a group of outdoor enthusiasts together to hear what Kuhl's reputation for quality is... because Kuhl is known for making some of the highest quality pants and apparel in the outdoor industry. Period. I happen to believe that the Renegade pant is one of the best made pants in the outdoor clothing industry, and I give them a five star rating. Maybe Mr. Scott should try what sounds like what would be his first pair of Kuhl pants and then do a review. Thanks for reading this and considering my point of view. ~Tim

by fromWow - My new favorite outdoor pants I wasn't entirely sold on these when I first saw them in the store, online they looked like a nice casual replacement for jeans, but in person, they're a stretchy, high-tech material. But I figured I'd give them a try and am I ever glad I did, they're my new favorite backpacking/hiking/camping pants. These things couldn't possibly be any more comfortable than they are. They're perfect for most any outdoor activity I can think of. They move with me very well, are super comfortable and after 3 days in the woods still look good. I went kayaking for a few hours and left these on, they shed water like a rain pant, at least the little bit that splashed on them from the paddling. The fit and pockets are perfect, even for a guy like me who's active, but not at all a "little guy". I couldn't be happier with them and highly recommend them to anyone who likes the outdoors or even for lounging around, they're awesome. The only complaint I have, and it's really a minor one, is that the inside flap buttons (presumably for a better fit) a bit in the way of the fly, not a big deal, but not as easy as it should be to face a tree and, well, you know . . .

by fromGreat pants As one other reviewer already said, I was initially sceptical about these pants. I work in demanding conditions in West Africa and I bought them mainly for comfort and undemanding duties (such as sitting behind a desk). I could not have been more surprised by the performance of these pants. They provide superior comfort and performance in very hot weather (115F+). The most surprising thing about them, given the drape and light feel of the fabric, is how very hard-wearing they are. I have worn them solidly for nearly a year now and have found them to be highly durable, maintaining their smart appearance. I am very happy with the product and will buy more pairs if I can.

by fromBest Pant E-V-E-R Simply one of the finest pants on the market. So versatile, so comfortable, so nice they've become the pants I wear darn near everywhere. Stretchy, warm in the cold, breathable and comfortable in warmer weather. Good pockets. I will never ever part with mine. Ever.

by fromThin and Light but wear like iron Recently traveled to Myanmar and Cambodia. The heat was oppressive and I had to do a lot of climbing. These pants were so light and comfortable that it made the physical activity a breeze.

by fromGreat Song, Great Pants These are my favorite pair of pants by far, they are incredibly comfortable, breathable, easy to clean, quick to dry, and offer not restrictions to range of motion. For the purposes of walking, running, and climbing I don't think you can find a better pair of pants anywhere, however if you plan to crawl on the ground and drag you legs all over the ground I think the fabric would start to pile.

by fromBest Backpacking Pants I Ever Owned Just hiked into a really rugged place in the Gila Wilderness where the trail had little or no maintenance, these pants shed moisture from brush and rain. They held up well to Mountain Locust rubbings. They are very breathable and comfy with the spandex. They are pricey, but worth it.
