Comments about The North Face Verto 26 Pack:
I read about this Pack in a climbing mag and immedietely went to check it out. When I found it I was surprised at how small it folds up. It fits into the top pocket of my pack. When I unfolded it I was amazed at how well made and tough the Verta 26 is. For its size it will allow me to carry the essentials on my trip to Shasta without taking up a lot of room in my main pack and I don't have to empty my main pack to carry with me to the summit. It also as Ice axe loops and a pocket inside to keep things organized. This is my new favorite toy!

Comments about The North Face Verto 26 Pack:
This pack was purchased with rock climbing and commuting to work (running) in mind. I would be very pleased with its weight and features, except that the chest compression strap would not stay cinched. This should be an easy fix for a good TNF product. I unfortunately returned this product.

Just what to expect from an 11 oz pack with 26 liters of capacity.

Comments about The North Face Verto 26 Pack:
I really like this pack. Comfortable, efficient and super light. I use a blue foam sit pad that rolls halfway around the inside for some structure. My primary use so far has been for alpine and ski touring. I'll be using it as a summit pack this spring as it can compress a good quality down 0 or minus 20 sleeping bag in the main pack. I'll be doing overnighters in it this summer.
It has been below 0 the last few times I have been out and the fiddly little buckles are annoying. The bag seriously needs some decent winter buckles. The webbing also loosens in the buckles too easily. These items need fixing to get 5 stars. I'll work on the shortcomings and probably replace the tool loops with some T type fittings.
There were no instructions for the compression lacing. The video on the North Face site is vague. I am running one on each side and putting the toggle in the middle.
I have over a dozen packs and this one is a keeper.
