      If I'm going with a heavier biner, I still love the action of the Petzl Spirit ... but why go heavy? I find that the sightly-increased gate resistance of the Photon is perfect for its lower weight. I don't want a light biner (flopping in the wind) that is too easy to open. The CAMP Photon wiregate is an example of too easy to open, IMO. I like the basket of this Photon (I like most newer baskets ... and this is no exception). It is suprising how much lighter you feel when you trade out some old heavies for a few Photons. These are keepers.
