Pearl Izumi Fuel Bike Shoes - Women'sis rated2.0out of5by1.
Rated2out of5byfromCleats Scrape -- Need to Rethink DesignI bought these for my wife who is only a casual rider, and I thought these would be great way to go (SPD compatible shoes with reversible SPD/platform pedals). They look great, but the design of the sole makes these not a great shoe. The space in which you install the SPD cleats is not deep enough to house them, without them scraping on the ground. I've tried different SPD cleats and different positions on the shoes but they still scrape. So, you can either file down the cleat on one side with a grinder or just scrape them on the concrete enough to where they don't scrape anymore. The sound is very similar to wearing golf shoes with the old school metal spike cleats.
