Comments about Mountain Hardwear Flag Day Pack - 23 Liters - 2010 Closeout:
I have been using this pack to commute by bike, and have found it great at holding what I need. I use the hydration sleeve for my computer, and have found it works fine for that - but keep in mind there is no padding, except for a small bit at the bottom of the suspended sleeve. With my laptop in the main compartment, there is still plenty of room for my power cords, books, planner, etc. The front pocket has a lot of well-thought out organizational pockets that hold all my small things. I really like the side pockets, as 1) they are not made of mesh or elastic, which either rips or stretches out, but rather of the same material as the body of the bag, and the top of the pocket tightens easily with webbing. The tarp on the front is cool-looking, the top haul loop is easy to grab. The padded shoulder straps are not too wide and not stiff, like some packs, and I like the sternum strap and waistbelt for added stability. I travel and hike as well, and this pack will perform great for both those applications too. I got the grasshopper green, and really like the color, but it is quite the green and might not be right for everyone. I also ordered, and returned, the black color, as the large logo on the tarp was in white and was too noticeable for me. I am 5'6", and it fits me fine. All in all this is a well-made functional pack, good for a variety of uses, and looks very nice as well.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Flag Day Pack - 23 Liters - 2010 Closeout:
I'm a senior citizen and wanted a pack for air travel. This is easy to load and unload, and is not long in torso, as many are. It fit better than day packs for women, which I thought would be best for me. I take long walks and it is perfect for storing my binoculars, snack, extra clothing if it gets cold, etc.
