Holds air for days (haven't tried longer than that). Once you understand the air valve, it works very well for speedy inflation and deflation. Generous bag size allows for easy storage/carrying of bed, pumps, chargers, and other small items (pillow, tent attachments). Fits perfectly in 3-man tents. No complaints!

When I bought this air mattress online I was thinking that given the Kelty name and their other usually well made stuff I would go with this one. I charged the pump up overnight and found that it didn't work the next day. Bummer! I charged it again and the next day the result was the same. I rigged up a dust vacuum cannister and inflated the mattress. It was NOT very comfortable. And because there is a flap on the fill tube it was quite difficult to fill by other means like a blow dryer. I wasn't happy so I returned it.

We have had a terrible run with airbeds. We like to car camp and have purchased a series of queen airbeds that left us on the ground after just one or two nights of use. The worst was a double-high mattress: when it leaked, we were jammed together in a deep trough. So when we read the reviews of this mattress, we felt it was worth the investment to get a good night's sleep. And we were not disappointed! This air mattress is great. We have used it for two night's so far, and it was just as firm in the morning as when we went to bed. This bed is different than most because it is not made out of vinyl. Comparing a vinyl mattress to this air bed is like comparing a latex balloon to mylar. The latex stretches, sags, and leaks. The mylar is incredibly light, holds the air better, and doesn't stretch. To be clear, this airbed is not mylar - I'm guessing it is some sort of coated nylon. It is very light, it doesn't leak, and it doesn't stretch. Even though it is thinner than many mattresses, it doesn't let you hit the ground. The one concern with this mattress is that the material is not comfortable next to skin - definitely want a blanket or sleeping bag between you and the mattress.
We literally threw our vinyl mattresses away after our first trip out with this mattress.

This is absolutely the best airbed we've ever owned. Seems like it will last awhile. PVC-free was an important feature to us. However, know that Kelty made this bed as a special order item for REI. We learned this when we called Kelty to order another cap for the air hole, and they couldn't guarantee the existence of a spare part. Luckily we then called REI customer service, and they followed through. We received the spare part the very next week!

I bought this one as my first air mattress prior to taking a trip through Utah for overnight camping. It was a good thing I tested it prior to the trip. With a couple of hours after pumping it up to a realtively firm condition, it was pretty soft and would have deflated completely. Returning it tomorrow!
The valve inside the fitting where the pump fits, is not great. When I went to fill it, the pump didn't move the valve so the pump was not filling the mattress. It also has to be set by hand before reversing the pump for deflating and it doesn't always stay in position.
Will try for another one tomorrow.

We bought an Aerobed Adventure Air Mattress, Extra-High Queen from another store. It was very high which I like, but it was so heavy and a lot of the air was gone the next morning. This one is wonderful. The air was in for days. It is so light and easy to pack. We got it for our daughters when we go car camping (ages 11, 9 & 7). I want another one for us. The only thing is that I wish it was a bit taller.

The most comfortable inflatable bed I've ever slept on, even while sharing it. Used it for four nights camping and didn't need to add air after the first inflation. Very light and easy to pack. Just remember to charge the pump before taking it on the road. I used a flannel bottom sheet to prevent slippage and would do this again. Very pleased with the purchase!

I purchased this air mattress mostly for guests, but have taken it camping a few times as well. It replaced a double height pvc air mattress that had stretched out to fill my entire living room and I had no sheets that would fit it. The old mattress also off-gassed powerful pvc fumes. I am happy to say that this mattress was odor-free from day one. I pumped it up and slept on it right away. It is made out of similar material to camping pads, so it also does not stretch like traditional air mattresses.
The pump works well and holds a charge for several fill-ups. It does struggle to get the mattress filled up firmly, though. I usually end up topping it off by adding a few puffs myself.
One star off because the mattress is not as stable as some. If I am by myself on it I am very comfortable, but if there is another person on the mattress I can feel every movement, and I take a pretty significant dip when they get off. However, even with that I would purchase this mattress again over the stretchy, odorous pvc mattresses.

I use the mattress for camping at mountain bike races, so I need comfort the night before a race. This product more than delivers. The pump rarely needs recharging, and the storage bag has room for a travel pillow. I highly recommend this for car camping. It's awesome.

It's comfortable enough on flat ground, but I was camping on a slight incline. I kept on sliding off of it, which was not comfortable. It needs some sort of flocking to keep sleeping bags from slipping off of it.
