I show Labrador Retrievers in the breed and obedience rings. I wanted a shoe that was stylish, not something orthopedic looking, and comfortable. I've had several inquiries about these shoes from other dog show folks. These shoes are also my 'go to' shoes for everyday and casual evening wear. It's time for a couple more pairs of these shoes and I'm glad REI is stocking them again.

These are so cute! I have them in the grey/purple because I wear a lot of pink, purple, grey & black. Much less whoppy looking than Keens (which were my comfort shoe prior to these), and WAY less stinky and I am generally not a smelly-footed gal)!

I've only noticed a "stinky feet" smell a couple times with these shoes (as opposed to constantly with Keens). The plastic footbed does make your feet sweat in hot weather, but the shoes themselves dry quickly when wet. I've worn them in the rain, at the water park, at the pool, as well as for walking (a lot)--no blisters,and pretty much anywhere. The are cool and comfortable and seem to go with everything. Very feminine.

The reason I only gave 3 stars though was because of the elastic on the inner foot part of the strap. I had mine only about 2 months before the strap completely stretched to about double or more, and is all wonky and misshapen. So they are a little looser than they should be. Can't quite get them tight enough without stretching out the worn elastic more.

I had two pairs from the previous version of this shoe and I loved them. I wore them all summer long, around town, traveling through Europe, to the beach, and around camp on backpacking trips. In both pairs the clipper mechanism on the strap failed; I suppose this is why Teva has moved to a velcro strap. I could not resist buying a pair because I really enjoyed this shoe for the last two summers. I also got many compliments on them.

I wanted to love these shoes. For Tevas, I thought they were adorable and I was excited about taking them on my upcoming backpacking Round The World adventure. I thought I'd give them a go and test them out around NYC before my departure. I'm a dog walker and dog trainer, and not only were they very comfortable with the miles I put in, but they also received a few compliments!

Here's the kicker.... I wore them in the rain ONCE. Initially, I was pleased with their performance. HOWEVER, I nearly fell down the subway stairs TWICE because they were so slippery on metal(while wet)!

I got a good 3 weeks of use out of these shoes before they got SO moldy(after that ONE rain exposure), that I had to take them back. I couldn't even have these shoes in the same room without gagging at the intense mold smell. I feel like the description is terribly misleading, as is the name. I thought I would be hiking through streams, monsoons, and taking these shoes kayaking, white water rafting and such. What a shame. :(

Bottom line: If you DO NOT intend on using these around water, or have a bucket of lysol you can dip them in after exposure, these may be great shoes for you. I'm still debating on whether to give these another try sometime for basic hiking shoes.

I bought these shoes for my upcoming honeymoon to Costa Rica. I wanted something that I could go in the water with and just run around in without hurting my feet. The skin on my feet is very sensitive and blisters easily. I wore these shoes for the first time on a two mile walk and nothing-- no blisters! They felt great. I wish there were a little more arch support but overall I'm happy with them. I got the brown color and it goes with a lot of items.

The best thing I can say about these shoes, me and spouse went on vacation to Europe and walked everyday we were there! I had these shoes on the whole time, we walked from 6am til 1am, and I mean I used these shoes the whole time, no corns, no hurt, no complaints, and it heald up to its name and quality! I'm very happy with these I would buy another pair!

Wonderful shoe and very comfortable. Main reason I bought this pair was for a bunion I have on right foot. Material soft and supportive. I can walk in them with NO pain until I get my surgery. Great with jeans, shorts, skirts, can dress up or down. Feels and looks very stylish, as I love the Mary Jane look of a shoe. I highly recommend this for people with this situation, or people with a bit wider foot. I will be purchasing another pair soon.
