Comments about prAna Linear Shorts - Men's:
I climb and have a daily Ashtanga practice. I've been on the warpath for a while looking for decent men's yogawear, a significantly underrepresented demographic. I've used my Stretch Zion shorts and pants for all my yoga and climbing needs for a few years, but needed some additional pieces, and I didn't like the fixed waist size and slightly bulky design of the Stretch Zion pieces for yoga. For example, the cargo pocket that I never use make the shorts bulkier than I prefer.
I insist on a crotch gusset for yoga and comfort while wearing a harness, and no cotton.
These shorts are very nice. Very light, stretchy, silky. The board-short closure is attractive, though perhaps less functional than the elastic on the Mojo short. They dry very quickly, hold almost no moisture, and allow fantastic range of motion. Nice, decently deep pockets, no unnecessary cargo pockets or such silliness.
They're extremely expensive at MSRP, they look rather like boxer underwear (though way more modest than most men's yoga shorts), and only time will tell how durable they are. However, I bought two pairs at retail, which says something about how much I like them.
My biggest complaint is that the waist size is rather fixed, the laces do not allow me to cinch them down for practice and loose for casual use. Intermediate sizing would help.
Also, Prana, please call these yoga shorts. Why on earth would you wear them for travel?

Comments about prAna Linear Shorts - Men's:
These are the best, most well rounded, shorts I own. Great gym shorts that are easily worn around town without being identified as workout clothing. Wish they made a 31" because I'm now between sizes but I like them so much that I'm willing to have them a little loose. Love to get them on sale but worth every penny at regular price.

Comments about prAna Linear Shorts - Men's:
So far I've worn these shorts to play Ultimate and Basketball. There is just enough stretch to allow free movement. The shorts also wick very quickly. I live in South Carolina at the moment and it is very humid here. Usually when I wear shorts or anything stretching they are so wet it feels like I just jumped out of a pool. These shorts stayed pretty dry and allowed me to wipe my hands like they were a towel. Pockets are also nice to have. There is a zipper pocket in the back which is great when you're at the beach and need a place to put your key. The shorts seem durable and I'm not scared they are going to rip. The fabric is also very lightweight.
