Comments about prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
For active wear, I no longer wear anything but Prana. I'm a huge fan of their Titan and Zion shorts so I figured I'd give the Zion pant a try too. Fit and flexibility are perfect. These are now my go-to camping, hiking, fishing pants. They're also great for spring cycling due to their roll-up and snap pant legs.

Behold, the last pants you will ever wear. After wearing these pants, all others feel inferior. This pant fits me very well (5'6", 30" waist) and the length perfect. I bought these on the strong advice of a friend who boasted of their magnificence. In these pants I have hiked in 35+ degree weather, finished a grueling canoe race, indoor climbed, scaled trees, and done basic around the house chores. These pants have excelled in each and every task. What's most amazing about these pants is the nylon fabric; amazing protection against moisture and excellent for controlling temperature. When faced with the option of getting the zip off zions for their versatility, consider this; these pants have buttons at the mid-shin that allow you to roll up the pants and snap them in place. Huck Finn would have been proud.

The pants are cut much narrower than show in the photo - the leg is more like a straight slim pant fit, which with a hiking shoe might look a little funny with a hiking shoe. Otehrwise great quality, roll up option and holes for breathability.

Comments about prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I got these pants with my class field trips in mind. I'm a wildlife biology major and we frequently go out into thorny, rocky, and hot areas. I wanted pants that could hold up to the beating of mesquite trees and rock while not being to hot to wear in central and south Texas weather. These did great! I took them to Elephant Mountain in the big bend area and not only did they hold up to the terrain but they held back the rain that came pouring down while I was there as well. The only things that I would say in the negative about these is that I managed to snag them on some mesquite and while they didn't rip or tear they did have a thread of fabric come loose. (I'm hoping that it doesn't effect its water proofing). Also while most of the pant held back the rain the zipper area to the cargo pocket seems to be the weak point. I kept having water run down my leg from the top of that pocket.) Other than those things the pants are great and I would buy another pair.

Comments about prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
Impressed by the pants at first-- great fit, and comfortable. Nice color and didn't have the parachute pants look of some other hiking pants.
First wear of the pants was good-- a short easy hike in Glacier National Park. The ability to roll-up the pants on a hot day was nice, though it does give you that Euro- capri pants look. Perhaps not the best for men, but easier / quicker than a zip-off pants leg.
Second hike, a longer one in Glacier, as we start, my pants are feeling loose and saggy, so I pull the belt cord to tighten a little--but it didn't tighten, and I noticed the belt was longer than it had been yesterday. The anchor for the belt inside the pants had come loose, so I was able to pull the belt all the way out of the pants without difficult.
For the price, pants should last longer than 1 hike. I question how well the material would hold up, too.
When in Bear Country, it's probably better to have pants that aren't at risk of falling down to your ankles. These will be going back.

Comments about prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I am usually hesitant about buying pants online because I need an inseam in the 29"-30" range. This measurement can be quite variable depending on manufacturer. I was delighted that the 30" inseam on this product is perfect for me. Additionally I find the pants well made, comfortable and well suited to travel. Later this summer I will be traveling to Idaho for whitewater rafting and I expect these pants will be my "travel days" choice. A trip to Colorado in Sept. to explore historic railroads will put the pants to good use on a daily basis. This product appears to be excellent.

Comments about prAna Stretch Zion Pants - Men's 30" Inseam:
I had my eye on these pants for a while. I was only able to try them out in the 32" in size in REI and felt they were just slightly too long, so I opted for the 30" and ordered them to be picked up in store.
Fit's really nicely. NOT BAGGY, like many similar pants, this has a modern more fitted look, though still fairly casual and comfortable due to the stretchy material. Soft. Breathable. 30" was slightly too short, but better than too long in my opinion.
These were my main pants on a 18,000 miles road trip involving hiking in 25 nationals parks. I wore these ALL the time. The roll up bottoms are an amazing addition for when you get a bit too warm, but it's likely to be chilly at the top.
My only real complaint is that I've noticed some broken spandex fibers sticking through in high-wear areas after about 4 months of very frequent use. The crotch area, and around the backs of the knees and near pockets a bit - no real significant damage, just surprised to see the spandex in early stages of failing so soon.
Despite this, if they still make them and these fail - I'll probably buy another pair. Prana is a great company.

I've tried travel pants by many. The Zions are pricey $$ but if I only had one pair of pants, these would be the ones. They're comfortable, fit well and have all the bases covered including a low profile zippered leg pocket perfect for a passport or cash. With the stretch I wouldn't hesitate to hike, bike or climb. Best all round, go to, casual pants I have, wash easy, drip dry, gotta love 'em.
