The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Among other trips, I took it on a Four Corners motorcycle trip from Phoenix, over to Chaco Canyon (NM), up to Mesa Verde (CO), across to the Canyonlands (UT), etc.
I'm 6'3" and use it as a luxurious one-man tent. Plenty of room for everything off the bike including camera gear. I'm sure it would be comfortable for two normal-sized backpackers.
It takes serious wind without trouble. (If you're in the windy desert and don't want dust in the test, just put up the fly - it takes less than 90 seconds.)
After several years, there are no tears, no faulty zips, no bent poles. Very well designed. Superb construction. (The new edition is apparently even lighter than mine.)

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I bought this tent a few months ago on sale and love it. It has good construction that stands up solid in the weather. The singular pole system is great. It is very easy to set up and take down, the bag has plenty of extra room in case of fast takedowns.
The only issue I had with it is when camping in high winds without the rainfly dust and sand gets blown inside through the mesh very easily. Of course that much mesh makes the tent much lighter weight so it's a tradeoff.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I did a week long trip in Yellowstone and it held up well in some brutal weather. No leaks in an all-night graupel storm, and we used the fast-fly pitch to ride out a spectacular thunder/sleet/rain/snow/hail storm. Camp flooded but we were able to keep the tent body dry in my pack. I am 6'1" and my tent buddy was 6'3". It was snug but enough space for two experienced backpackers to sleep in. I would not want to spend an entire rainy day hanging out in it, though.
Important: You need to stake out the four corners of the tent body to maximize floor space. I am guessing the folks who complain that this tent is too small did not do this - if you just let it sit on the ground free-standing style, then yes, it is too small because the floor curls up at the edges.
The biggest problem was the condensation - it gets pretty bad and mine has a single-zip door so you can't rig a vent with it. There will be mornings when bumping the tent will cause an indoor rain event, and you will frequently have to remove the fly for drying. This would be another reason that I would not want to spend extended time in this tent on a rainy day.
Overall, it's a waterproof, solid, lightweight shelter with some versatility. I would recommend this tent for experienced backpackers who are used to minimalist gear, because getting the most out of the Hubba Hubba demands a little thought and finesse. For novices maybe try something with a little more space, ventilation, and durability.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Great tent! Easy and fast to set up, lightweight, have had no major problems with condensation at all, and plenty of room for two people. Keeps pretty warm in late fall and early spring despite the mesh design (with the fly over). Very happy with this tent, it has proved to be a great investment.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
My wife and I have owned and abused this tent for 6 years. We once lived in it for 3.5 months on the PCT. Super fast to setup and quick to break down. Really easy to clean. Excellent for two people. If I ever manage to destroy this tent, I will immediately purchase another without reservation. Really well engineered, great in the California desert or in torrential Oregon rainfall. Condensation not a problem. Can be a little breezy out in the open, but does well in high winds or rain. Excellent rain fly vestibules for two backpacks. Love that you don't have to crawl over anyone to get in or out.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
When i picked up my Hubba Hubba, i was looking for a 3p 3 season light and fast tent. I simply couldn't pass up the sale price on the previous model. I couldn't believe how easily it was setup. The hub pole design is great and very efficient! The fly/footprint setup is SUPER easy compared to past MSR designs and the Fly only setup is not only Super easy, but the perfect option for ppl looking to save weight but still have a all around tent! I had the Ventana by MSR for a couple years and never liked the setup.. seemed like i had to practice setup each season.. I never used the fly/print option because it was difficult to setup and unless it was staked out and weather conditions were ideal it was a pain.. With the Hubba Hubba i have taken the full setup for early spring climbing trips, fly only pitch for day hikes,a beach vacation, a drizzly concert in the park and two ultra light overnighters! I used the fly/print pitch for a week in the national forest and a weekend in the Smokies The NEW?CURRENT MODEL (Green Fly/ Gray Body) has better water and UV protection but i am stoked to have a Hubba Hubba either way! Get yours today!

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
It really appealed to me, while tent-shopping, that this tent could be set up in so many configurations: body only, body+fly, fly+footprint, or fly only. The fly only config isn't so common, and may be very useful in sand or snow. Its also neat that the poles are strung together into 1 big spider, so you never have to wonder about their orientation.
Inside, there are gear pockets at the head and feet - there are also 6 loops (at the uppermost pole clip-points) you can use to hang an attic or string some light cord or carabiners through to hang stuff.
I've noticed that there's not a ton of resistance to pushing down directly on the top of the tent. Snow does sometimes fall unexpectedly during the 3 nice seasons, and I wonder how much this tent would hold up? You could actually brace the tent from inside by tying cord between 2 of the attic loops along the spine.
The other neat thing about this tent is the Gear Shed, which will effectively make this a 3-person tent while maintaining pretty low weight per-person.
On the whole, this is a light, modular, and well-built tent that does what it's meant to.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I've only used it a couple of times so far, but I can confirm that wind is a serious problem. The mesh doesn't provide any protection from sand and dust either.
Also, who named this tent? "Hubba Hubba" sounds unintelligent and makes me want to throw up in my mouth.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Bought this tent because of its easy set up and MSR's good reputation for quality. The first couple trips I went on it held up great and I was overall happy with the tent. During the last trip I took it on though one of the tent poles snapped in a rain storm and then ripped open the rainfly. Ended up having to hike out 6 miles in the dark and rain. I have heard of other people having problems with the poles breaking. Although MSR offers a lifetime guarantee on the poles I will be exchanging the tent for a different brand instead of chancing another pole breaking.
