Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I had this tent for approximately seven years with around three years of actual use. I slept in it for about 40 nights in total. I choose this tent because of the two doors and solid construction. Overall the tent held up pretty well. This year though the top connector between the large pole and the middle short pole broke while setting up the tent. This did not prove to be an issue just an annoyance. My major issue was the condensation. This issue is not notticable while the tent is still new as the fly is taught, but as you use the tent and the fly begins to stretch it becomes a problem. This is because there is no way to pull the fly taught in the middle panels. you can tighten the corners down as far as they go and pull out the vestibules but once these middle panels stretch they never get taught again. This poses an issue because they sag into the inner mesh part of the tent causing a constant drip right where your head lays. As there are no vents the condensation levels can get very high which means you will get very wet. The material itself is still waterproof dispite its age and ive found the tent to be very durable. I will not be buying another MSR tent because of this condensation issue until they implement a vent or another lfy design that can be kept taught even after stretching.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Is a very good tent, very lightweight and extremely easy to set up, and very strong structure, how ever is short in storage space compared to my previous north face rock 22 that has four pockets and the roof net. The materials are very good quality but be aware of having your hands very clean before setting up the rainfly because that kind of material get dirty very easy.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
In some twenty-plus years of backpacking, mostly in points west of St. Louis and east of California, I've purchased and used my share of tents, from makers such as TNF, Sierra Designs, Marmot, and others. I've no good excuse for having delayed so long in purchasing the MSR Hubba Hubba. I finally obtained one last summer, and it's now been through hot and cold, wind and rain, and I've nary a complaint about anything except that the grommets on the stuff sack came loose, and I don't like the cord retainers used for the pole and stake bags.
While not the roomiest 2-person tent out there--it is a backpacking tent, after all--it will house two non-NFL lineman types without inordinate concerns about intimacy. The dual entrance/exit openings provide both parties with easy egress in the middle of the night as well as a reasonable gear stowage area under the vestibule. Headroom is above average, and the nearly perpendicular walls reduce the claustrophobic feel common to small tents, and give a little room for maneuver.
Construction of the tent is above average, with straight, well-sewn seams, no sloppiness in cut/fit/attachment, and a good compromise between weight and sturdiness in fabric. Zippers operate well and are relatively quiet. The fly, and the vestibule portions in particular, fits the tent well, and the vestibule stakes out smartly but without making the zippers difficult to manage. The openings through the tent body are large and easily negotiated. My only quibble with construction would be a desire for reflective points, cords, or tie-downs to make finding the tent in the dark less of a chore. A green tent in the woods at night combined with walking back from the bear bag induces an appreciation for easy visibility. It's an easy fix, but MSR could've done it for me.
Special kudos for the MSR stakes. They are simply the best tent stakes that come as OME, dramatically unlike and better than the flimsy aluminum cordage often packaged with tents. The pole system is easy to manage, and sturdy. Pitching the tent is not at all difficult, being intuitive enough that the directions are almost optional. The stuff sack is appropriately roomy, eliminating any difficulty in getting the tent back into the bag come morning.
I'm very happy with the purchase, and will likely make it again the next time I need a tent.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I've owned this tent for 6 years now and on average I backpack around 15-20 days a year. This tent has never let me down, its easy to setup and has withstood wind rain and snow. Condensation has been minimal, but I always expect some no matter what weather conditions I get into. Never had any water leaks or issues with zippers on this tent. I also love that you can star gaze at night while falling asleep when weather allows. Another bonus about this tent is you can purchase separately a gear shed vestibule, if you backpack with mans best friend its a great place for your pup to crash while you and your significant other sleep in the tent. I really can't think of anything about the hubba hubba that has caused me grief backpacking... buy it, you won't regret it!

We purchased the Hubba Hubba three years ago and use it a handful of times a year. Love it--so fast and easy to set up. We've experienced some moderately heavy wind and rain and it stands up very to it. No condensation issues to date. For its weight, the size and comfort are very good.

Well, i already use the Hubba Hubba Twice this year and every time, after the set up and entering the tent i was excited. how much room and space? i can enter my bags inside if needed, 3 people can mange inside also i believe when מecessary.
i love that the case is a little big that you can shove inside the tent in seconds. i like the green color, the DAC Recycle.
2 thing that need to be improve :
a. the space between the zipper and the floor is to thin.
b. the pockets inside not so well. they need to be a little deep and strong.
GREAT TENT!

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Hubba Hubba.
In agreement with a lot of what's said about the MSR Hubba. Great design, easy setup, light weight and quality manufacturing….and a few quirks.
I recently purchased the MSR H-2 (Hubba Hubba), but have owned a MSR H-1 (Hubba) for three years with no complaints. The H-1 and the H-2 have the
same pole configuration and the set up is identical. Besides a little more weight and extra room, that's about all that sets them apart.
Comfort vs. weight was the major reason for choosing to purchase the H-2. Sleeping comfortably makes it easier to take on the activity of the next day, and comfort is sometimes more important than the weight. Criticism about condensation is justified. I've had nights where condensation build-up was a problem, not a big problem, but it was there. A solution that seemed to work for me was to lodge a twig across the zipper at the top of the fly, holding the fly slightly open. Another grievance was the tent's performance in the wind and rain. Here I have to strongly disagree. In my experience this complaint is unwarranted. When set up, staked and guyed out properly, (RTFM) I had no such problem. The last three of my four outings were plagued by storms, in some cases, bad storms. Last month on the AT a small tornado (an F1) touchdown briefly in a nearby town, I set up just prior to a torrent of rain that was accompanied by a strong wind and intense gusts. (I don't think I've been more anxious sleeping outdoors). The H-2 took it all and I had no problems with water infiltration. Setting it up took less time than hanging up my bear bag. After my gear was secured and covered, I filtered water from a stream nearby and was soaked through by the time I returned. I stripped down and toweled off in the vestibule, before climbing into a dry tent. Maybe other tents could have handled this storm better (?) I don't know, but for sure, in my opinion, the H-2 handles wind and rain well. (I didn't say it can survive a tornado… just strong winds.)
The darn zippers! Two hands at some points of travel….luckily for me I still have two hands. It's a minor inconvenience to me, a non-issue.
As an aside, I own the MSR Gear Shed. I bought it for the H-1, but it also fits the H-2. I use it when cycle-camping and it really increases
the amount of storage area to pile up gear, additionally it's a place to get out of the rain to make coco (or store the dog). The partial
floor is kind of a drag, despite the fact that, it saves weight. My solution to this was, cut a 'to fit floor' from a heavy duty trash bag spanning the area between the shed's partial floor and the tent.
I keep my gear well maintained. After every trip I set up tents on the lawn, brush off any loose dirt, hose it down and let it dry in the sun. Then pack it up like a parachute so it's ready for next time a buddy says; "Jump!" I'm dealing with light-weight fabric here and is not intended to be rough housed. It's a tent…. not an SUV.
I'm sold on MSR.
My girlfriend, she's sold on Motel 6. She never has a problem with zippers or condensation, because, at night Tom Bodett
says; "We'll leave the light on for ya".
See you on two wheels…..or feet.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
Great tent. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. If there were additional guy point attachments the tent would be sturdier and the zipper would work better in the wind. But that is in a perfect world and my opinion is relative. It still is the best backpacking tent I have owned in the last 30 years and I have had this one for several years. If the guy outs were that important to me I could have had them installed and I still haven't.

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
The maiden voyage was a 9 day backpacking trip. This tent was easy and quick to set up. A friend and I stayed in it during 9 hours of pouring rain with strong winds, never had a drop of moisture inside. The wind proved the tent's sturdiness. It's very light weight and small, perfect for packing. Two doors make it handy as neither person has to crawl over the other. Nice sized vestibules on each side for storing shoes and other small gear. I have no complaints!!

Comments about MSR Hubba Hubba 2P Tent:
I have used this tent for about a year now and really love it. It is easy to set up. It hasn't been tested in any severe weather but had no problems with an average rain shower. No problem with condensation, even when fogged in on the Olympic coast. The rain fly collected the condensation and it ran down and away from the tent. Just used it in very warm weather without the fly and loved that aspect as well. I would definitely buy it all over again.
