The North Face Torpedo jacket offers up a tremendous combination of high performance features for a garment weighing in at only 8 oz.

Polyester fabric is used to create a barrier against wind on the front and back; polyester mesh is used under the arms to maximize breathability
Durable Water Repellent finish is applied to help light precipitation bead up and roll off
The North Face Torpedo jacket features a silver salt antimicrobial coating that helps neutralize odors
Zip hand pockets and a rear storage pocket combine to give you plenty of spaces to stash all the things you need for your workout
Rear cape vent helps hot, moist air exit the jacket, keeping you dry longer
The North Face Torpedo jacket has reflective piping and logos to help increase your visibility in low light

Originally I bought this jacket because I wanted something black and breathable and something that looks cool when I play airsoft. I also run and hike a lot so I wanted a jacket thats good in all weather. The North Face is usually super expensive and at first I didn't think this super thin jacket was worth the price, but when I tried it on, it was perfect. Its breathable, It fits perfect, and it looks good.
Im also convinced this thing is magic. It is super thin and weighs about as much as a pair of socks, but it keeps me warm in somewhat cold weather. Weather its because I drink too much or its the area i live in, its either too cold for a t shirt or a little too warm for a sweatshirt. This jacket is perfect. I think The North Face sprinkles fairy dust on it and this is why it's so expensive, because I can't figure out why it works so well.

Went looking for a lightweight jacket for Spring in Michigan. Wanted something windproof and lightweight for hikes, dog walking and outdoor activities. This jacket caught my eye and just had to try it on. It fit perfectly and I could not believe how little it weighs, hard to tell you even have a jacket on. Was prepared for sticker shock since it is North Face, but I found the price reasonable. After owning it for a month, I love it so much I am back buying a second one. Perfect time to use my 20% discount and Dividend check, thanks REI!
