Comments about The North Face Paramount Traverse Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I use these as both casual work pants and to wear while out and about. These are now my favorite pants. Great fit, feel, comfort and are very durable.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Traverse Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
After only three washes in the normal cycle and air drying the pants began to pill. The design is poor, particularly the pockets which are designed in a straight down position.

Comments about The North Face Paramount Traverse Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
Very poor design, particularly the pockets. The front slash pockets can only be entered from a straight down position. This would work out OK only if your shoulders were mounted on the front of your body, as opposed to the side. The left front zip thigh pocket is too small to hold anything except a small cell phone. The front right zip thigh pocket is too small to hold anything except a regular size cell phone. it is not big enough for even a regular wallet, much less a passport, etc. In general the worst designed product I've ever seen from North Face.

Love these low-rise pants for casual wear and general "knocking around".

Comments about The North Face Paramount Traverse Pants - Men's 32'' Inseam:
I really like these. One of my biggest gripes about utility/outdoor wear is that no company has ever thought to change the idea of a cargo pocket into something more functional. I am 6' and 180lbs and all other pants with cargo pockets render them useless by having whatever is in them bang up against your knees. The cargo pockets on these pants are smaller so what ever you put in there doesn't slosh around too much and high up on the thigh (but not so high as to interfere with the hand pockets). Both pockets fit an iPhone really well with some room to spare.
They are semi-wind resistant. I was recently in 40mph gusts and they did way better than my jeans but not as good as my REI Salix wind proof jacket.
I haven't gotten them wet yet so I'm not sure of the DWR or the dry time.
The material seems a bit thin. Double material in the knees or something would be an improvement. The pants don't feel as though they will fall apart (the stitching is really well done) but the fabric seems like it will last though one big spill and that would be it.
They look good. I don't want to look like a tourist so I wouldn't wear them around town but even then they don't stand out to much. The cut allows lots of movement so they are comfortable. Only beef with the cut is the ankles/calves. I hate excess material. It would be good for going over a boot but I also hate boots. The bottom hem touches my bike chain so I am probably going to have JuJu tailor them for me.
End transmission.
