Comments about Patagonia Stand Up Shorts - Men's:
I am an active athletic young man 20 years old who loves to wear t shirts and shorts so typical for guys my age. Too many of men's shorts come in such long lengths that they almost reach to the knees and even beyond them. I like to bare my legs more with the shorter length Patagonia stand up shorts so that more of my bare legs are exposed to the air for ventilation when it is hot snd more of my exposed bare legs to the susnhine for a more complete tan on my legs. I purchased both 5 and 7 inch inseam lengths of mens Patagonia shorts and am happy with the 7 inch length but am the most pleased with the 5 inch inseam length. It looks like the longer 7 inch inseam is displayed here with that guy wearing flip flops in photos. Both of these shorts are more comfortable to wear than the long knee hugging shorts and I look better in especially the 5 inch Patagonia shorts. I go hiking, mow the lawn, play hacky sack, do work outdoors, ride my light motorcycle , sit at my computer with my bare legs crossed, go on activities with friends, shopping,to the movies and restaurants all wearing my mens Patagonia 5 and 7 inch shorts. I am pleased with the heavy duty zipper button which does not break easily. I like my 7 inch shorts but love my 5 inch shorts and pratically live in them. I gave the 7 inch version here a rating of 4 stars but give my 5 inch version a 5 star rating.
I am a college student and it has seemed to become almost a tradition for young men to wear shorts to class either wearing t shirts, shorts and flip flops with no socks to class or wearing t shirts, shorts, and athletic sneakers with white tube socks to class even in cold weather with no jacket in sight. I am carrying on that tradiion by wearing shorts, especially my 5 inch ones, to class every day and I alternate with the combination of wearing t shirts , shorts and flip flops without socks to class and wearing t shirts ,shorts and athletic sneakers with white tube socks even in cold weather with no jacket.I ride my light motorcycle to campus wearing only my t shirt and shorts even when it is cold and foggy with dense fog and very gloomy. When riding my more exposed bare legs get a somewhat greater amount of a chill because of the shorter Patagonia shorts compared to knee hugging shorts and my bare arms get chilled also and my feet get chilled if I am wearing flip flops but my feet do not get chilled if I am wearing athletic sneakers and tube socks and then only my bare legs and bare arms get chilled. The gals seem to like seeing more of my bare legs especially with the 5 inch lengths and young men seem to be on the trend to bare more of their legs to college classes by wearing Patagonia shorts to class with lengths of 5 to 7 inches as opposed to long shorts with lengths of 10 to 12 inches.
