Lightweight Thermic Micro™ insulation is manufactured to produce a consistent, dense sheet of insulation that eliminates cold spots

I purchsed this bag to replace my TNF Aleutian 20. The added features on the Lamina are great - insulated draft tube, draft collar with pull cord, storage bag plus compression bag and the sleeping bag is made using extra soft material. It feels really nice against the skin and when wearing long underwear the bag won't stick to your clothes. I'm 195lbs, 6' with broad shoulders and the regular fits perfectly. There's room enough to wear a down jacket for winter, like MH's Nitrous. A 20 degree bag has been my all-season go-to bag for the past 15 years and Mountain Hardwear has set the standard for what I'll be looking for in future sleeping bags. For a syntheitc option this is the bag to own.

I've had this bag for a year, but just recently had the chance to try it at its temperature extreme. The pros for this bag include a roomy interior (I'm 5'10" and 205 lbs.), packs to football size in its compression bag, a nice adjustable collar and hood, and sheds water. The cons include a questionable temperature rating. It snowed 4-6" overnight in Shenandoah NP and the temperature dropped into the low 30's, maybe high 20's. I was not "toasty" warm even dressed in a midweight layer with wool socks. Everyone is different,and, for me, this bag should be rated at about 30 degrees.
