These are well constructed bike shorts with nice materials for the price point. Many other brands in this price point do not have this quality of a chamois or coverage. The chamois comfortably covers all of my saddle contact points, I use a 155 Specialized women's saddle so I need wider coverage. If you have narrow sitbones this chamois may be too large for you. I did order a large based on other brands of shorts I have and generally needing to size up for exercise pants (I'm pear shaped) but the Novarra's ran a little large so the waist and leg bands were loose (I typically wear an 8 in jeans/slacks). I'll exchange these for a medium at my local store and they should be a perfect fit!

I bought these for an iron-man I am training for. I did not realize how much I needed these. I did not wear them for the first time the other day since I had recieved them and my booty hurt so bad after, it made me realize how great these are! I don't think any bike shorts will feel like a pillow, but my butt never hurts after a bike ride when I wear these. I have worn them consistantley over 2 hours and love them! One seam is already coming undone after 2 months, but its not bad and I use these at least twice a week. One down side is I have to wear pants over them if it is cold (obviously :)). I personally wish they were a little longer, because you can pull them down far, but when you ride and if you want them to be comfortable they need to be a bit above mid thigh.

I use this product regularly when mountain biking and they are very comfortable. It's hard to find bike shorts that fit and are somewhat stylish and these work well under shorts or capri's without looking like you're wearing a diaper. I'm a huge fan of these shorts because they offer a bit more padding than some of the other brands and they aren't on the top end of the pricing scale.

I'm even about to purchase another pair!

I've had a hard time finding a second pair of short and took a stab at these since they had good ratings. At first I thought they would be uncomfortable because the padding seemed too thick while I was walking around the fitting room but once I took them about for a ride, it was love! They're great!! The waist band is very comfortable and does not dig into my waist at all, the length is good and the anti-slip bands are not too tight on my thighs. My other pair of shorts are Terry brand, Medium size but these fit me fine in size Small.

These are very comfortable for all day wear. I ride my bike to run errands, which generally means I wear them for several hours (>5), on and off the bike. These are the most comfortable bike shorts I have ever worn. They do seem to fit a little big, so I am buying a second pair in a smaller size (oh, the horror!)

For some reason these shorts seem to fit looser. I asked if they had an XS but they are not made in an XS so I bought a S. The cross band at the front might be the reason why it fits looser and seemed a bit unnecessary to me. I believe the cross band in the front is to provide comfort for the ab area while riding. The fit is overall comfortable although even on a shorter ride (13 mi.) I noticed that the gel padding makes it more steamy while riding. I'm beginning to think that well padded shorts just don't breathe that well. So the padding is a plus but also a minus.

These are great shorts. Especially for the price. They have held up well and I'd recommend them to a friend. They would be perfect if they would change the bands to true yoga bands both waste and legs similar to their Canadian competitor. Maybe they have been revised since but mine have a yoga width band but with a thick elastic that is too big and stiff. Still, the gel padding and overall fit is great. I have yet to find a pair of shorts I like more.

I bought these when I decided to get back into cycling after quite a hiatus. I rode my bike once and was so saddle sore I headed straight to REI to buy these. I've worn them ever since commuting 10 miles three times a week and even hour-long spinning classes. No saddle soreness :). The gel is thick and comfortable.
