I took 2 pair of these to Puerto Rico this last April and wore them 100% of the time (except when I was in my swimsuit). Great shorts! The best part was I could dress them up with a linen short and go to a nice dinner with the wife and friends. Looked great! Excellent number of pockets and properly placed. CON: The belt needs to be removed before washing. Trust me on this one.

I had seen these in fishing stores, and even in REI they were located right next to the fishing shirts (you know, those vented back button up ones). However they look great as casual shorts and can even be dressed up with a polo or button up. They are super comfortable and even include a belt.

They are perfect for the outdoor activities that I enjoy. They dry quickly, have lots of pockets and look good too.

I purchased them for fishing since they are quick drying but I find I wear them everywhere. I like them so much I purchased two more pair !

I just bought these shorts at [...] in Reno, NV after doing a lot of online research. The day after I bought the shorts I went for a short 6 mile day hike and I can say I love these shorts. We had to ford a small creek that made it up to my thigh, so the shorts got a bit wet, but were dry in about 10 minutes. At the mid point of the hike there was a lake, so I also went swimming in that, with the shorts. While they're not technically swim trunks, I really liked them for swimming. The reason I gave them a four star rating was cause of the right rear pocket size. Its a tight squeeze for the wallet and my hand when retrieving the wallet. Also the main front pockets seem a bit shallow when sitting down. Your pocket knife or phone may fall out when sitting down. This is a common problem with many pants or shorts despite the manufacturer. I've remedied this issue by putting everything in my cargo pockets.
