Comments about The North Face Blue Kazoo Sleeping Bag:
I love trekking through the Rockies, Cascades and Sierras in all seasons and this is my bag of choice. This bag works great as an all round bag; not too heavy, plenty warm for the rating (I'm a warm sleeper but getting older...). I've used it (by accident) at around 0F with a fleece liner and was tolerably warm but too crowded of course; I'm 5-8 with a large chest and shoulders. I'm buying a heavier bag for winter trekking, probably synthetic because we don't use tents much, but if I could have only one bag this would be it.

Comments about The North Face Blue Kazoo Sleeping Bag:
I bought my first Blue Kazoo about 15 years ago, then switched to ultralight gear and it hung unused in my closet for a few years. Then my daughter borrowed it and, several years later when I was leaving for a Grand Canyon winter hike ... it was no longer where it was supposed to be ... grrr ... . She confessed about six months later. So I bought another one in about 2006, updated with lots of fancy features. I only use this bag for one hike - Guatemala's Volcan Tajumulco, tallest volcano in Central America (I guide tourists on this hike, for a non-profit organisation in Xela) - but I absolutely love it (the hike, and the bag). Temperatures usually hover around 32 F (0 C) at night, and this bag keeps me snuggly warm. Highly recommended if you don't mind the extra weight (this is an easy hike, so I don't).

Comments about The North Face Blue Kazoo Sleeping Bag:
I used this all over the world in all kinds of conditions. It has been a solid work horse for 30 years. Sadly, it is now time to move on. I have overnighted down to 5F in relative comfort but that was when the bag was much newer with good loft. Sad to say, it has lost that warmth of late.
