Use the rugged Metolius Ropemaster™ rope bag to protect your climbing rope from the damaging effects of dirt, sun and moisture.

Features a large 5 ft. x 4 ft. tarp with an easy-load pocket that controls the rope while packing it up; pocket is sized to hold up to a 70m rope

This rope bag is phenomenal. The reasons why I like it so much is because it is so fast to store away your rope, lightweight, VERY compressible, stylish, and it keeps your rope organized. I had the Metolius Dirt Bag Rope Bag before this and I was very unhappy with its design, it was very awkward and my rope never stayed organized. The design is great because you just roll up your rope in the tarp and tuck it away, then you can use the compression straps to make it more compact. I highly recommend this bag, because it is simple to use, keeps your rope clean/dry, and quick rope storing.

My Ropemaster lives at the crag. I get out 100+ days a year and use my bag each time. At times I've seen it plummet and the ballistic fabric kept my rope clean and safe.

This rope bag is quick and easy to pack up and unpack. If you flake the rope in and tie it to the points before closing up, it really doesn't get tangled. (I still flake each time for my piece of mind). I wish it had two straps for when I actually carry it to the base in the bag. When I do multi-pitch I just leave the bad boy in the car and backpack coil the rope. The little window to "see which rope is in there" is snazzy and all, but useless. Who stores all their ropes in a separate bag at all times? One does just fine to chuck the one you're using that day in. Fits my 60m with plenty of space left, but cinches down nice and tight. I would imagine there is plenty of space for a 70m, too.
