    The Petzl Universo belay system includes a Verso belay device and an Attache 3D carabiner with sliding connection piece that keeps the belay device and carabiner properly oriented.

    • Connection piece on the Attache 3D carabiner allows the Verso belay device to remain in position and the carabiner to stay properly oriented along its major axis
    • Connection piece also limits the chance of dropping your belay device during rope changes
    • Verso belay device features V-shaped channels that increase friction on thin ropes; works with twin ropes, half ropes and single ropes
    • Verso is compatible with twin ropes 7.5mm in diameter and larger, half ropes 8mm in diameter and larger and single ropes 8.9mm in diameter and larger
    • Attache 3D screwgate carabiner features a key lock nose that won't snag

      I am a novice climber who just got into this sport about 8 months ago. I have probably been to an indoor wall 18 times now and purchased this after I was tired of using a GriGri or someone else's device.

      The carbiner is smooth to operate. I like the red threads for when you haven't screwed the device to safe position when belaying.

      I have taught a few of my athletes (I coach cross country) on this device and they prefer it after trying the GriGri.

      Highly Recommend for the price, quality, and it doesn't look bad either!
