Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Men's:
I finally paid the big bucks for this jacket and even my relatively high expectations have been met. Bought to replace 'expedition weight' long sleeve fleece top (even though Nano jacket weighs 1.7 oz more) and I am absolutely delighted.
Recently got back from 10 weeks in Sucre, Bolivia (volunteer guide with non-profit Condortrekkers), where I wore it just about every minute I wasn't sleeping. Early mornings with my hands in my pockets waiting for sun to rise, at or slightly below 32° F (no wind), I won't claim I was comfortable, but I survived (only a thin shirt underneath) and never considered packing more warmth/weight on subsequent trips.
It was filthy, but washed up real nice in my home machine. Too bad a spark from a campfire burned a hole in it, but it gave me a chance to see the insides - photo attached. Spark burned through inner liner (un-quilted), too, but doesn't seem to have affected structural integrity or created any problems other than ugly factor.
Highly recommended - I'll buy another after I've destroyed this one.
P.S. Stuffed into its zipped inner 'security pocket' it also makes a much better pillow than the fleece.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Men's:
Bought this jacket 6 mos ago and have used it almost daily. It is amazingly warm & incredibly light, just love wearing it. I use mine skiing and hiking. I am careful with it. I don't rockclimb with it unless with an outer shell for abrasion protection. If you use it as an insulation layer it gives you frictionless movement not found in multiple layers of pile which bind. Buy it you will love it.

The Nano Puff Jacket. Is easy to take with you from place to place. I have a grey one so it looks good with street clothes as well as on the mountain. I wear it all the time. I run cold so I can use it for multiple seasons for temps ranging 50-70. It fits great and I use it all the time.

I debated and hemmed and hawed between this and the comparable REI Revelcloud Jacket. I ended up buying both (intend to return the REI). The big difference, that I notice (other than price) is that the REI is more constricted in the shoulders/upper chest area. That was the end for me, I actually felt like I might rip the seam if I got too active in the REI and the Patagonia just has a little more give. Both are 'puffy' jackets, so there is going to be some bulk, but both are somewhat trim fits and fairly true to size. I'd love the sleeves to be 1/2" longer, but what can you do. Both have similar pockets (although the REI goes one step further with a headphone hole in theirs). The Patagonia has a more sophisticated drawcord system, which is nice. The neck is slightly tighter on the Patagonia, v.s. the REI. Overall, for the slightly more you'll pay for the Patagonia, I'd go for it, especially if you're slightly bigger in the chest and shoulders.

Comments about Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket - Men's:
I am ALWAYS cold when camping if its cold out. My last trip i had 7 different shirts on...most thick fleece. Everyone there (camp 4 in Yosemite) had this style of puffy jacket. I realized this is what i need to add to my layering to replace about 4 layers. Before this year i thought puffy jackets only came in winter full on coats and gangster style, then i found the rev cloud but they were sold out of black large, the only reasonable color, come on REI get with it on your REI brand clothing. I got this coat on sale and its been working great so far for night time when its a little colder here. I cant wait to try it when Im camping in the cold. Hopefully my friends wont be able to joke about me needing so many layers.

This delivers for what it is designed to do. I got this in gray, and it looks good enough to wear out at the bar. Very comfortable and simple design.

Great coat that feels true to size. I am 5'10'' 170 lbs and ordered a large. It fits great. Very compressible coat as well. I ordered the gray, and it is all much more stylish than I imagined.
