Comments about Byer Traveller Lite Hammock:
I was not sure what I would get for [$] dollars, but after receiving it, and putting it through its paces, this is a HUGE win. Construction is solid. Set up, a snap. i am 6'3" and completely comfortable in this hammock. I took it out to the Bitterroot range, with a tarp as shelter from the rain, no tent for an ultralight set up. I have never been so comfortable on the trail! no rips tears, it held up wonderfully for the 5 nights it was used. As long as you are going to be around trees, this is a great alternative to tents or pads. For [$] dollars, it is the single best gadget I have purchased in a long, long time. It was great to be surprised in a "good" way for once! Thank you REI and BYER!!!

Comments about Byer Traveller Lite Hammock:
I have had mine for several years now and it is still going strong. The only care it gets is to get packed away when we are done. At camp, it is left out in the sun and rain. And even more extreme, exposed to about 12-20 kids each time we go camping. The kids just love it and practically fight for their turn. And if you know kids, they are not gentle on it. It has served as a relaxing lounge to an aggressive three kid swing with an additional two kids on the ends helping the three inside swing. I am some times afraid they will swing the hammock right off and hurt themselves.
It's a little muddied up and well used, but still going strong. The first several years, we were camping at least once a month. Lately, with more kids' activities, we barely manage 4-6 a year.
I don't use it to sleep in because when we go family camping, we pile into a tent. The kids are still young enough that they want to sleep with mom and dad. And it doesn't have a mosquito net, so it's left behind for the solo outings. So I may try the other hammock with a net. The price is right.
So far it hasn't let us down yet. (pun intended)

Comments about Byer Traveller Lite Hammock:
I use this backpacking... A real gem. Light and very useful... I set it up using nylon web/straps.
First thing I set up when making camp. It is fantastic after a long hike to sit or lay down on/in... Ever notice how its hard to find a place to sit in the woods? Not with a hamock. Also, its so quick to set up, I use it to stay dry during a passing thunderstorm. Hop in with my pack and cover with a tarp. Storm passes and im back on the trail in 5 mins. My wife loves it too!

Comments about Byer Traveller Lite Hammock:
Completely comfortable with a Big Agnes bag and pad under a waterproof tarp. I've used this a number of times on trips to the Boundary waters and it has held up perfectly. At my age it is so much easier getting down out of bed than up. I am very happy with the construction and durability, tho I do get a few comments on the baby blue color. Wish they would make this in green or camo, but I still plan on using this hammock until I fall through it, which may be a while. I use a Mombasa mosquito net hung under the tarp along with this hammock as I don't like being zipped into anything except the sleeping bag and it is the perfect lightweight combination for me. Quality product, great price.
