    I bought three of these shirts several weeks ago in order to have a clean one available when I commute to work by bicycle two or three times a week. Although it's summer I wanted long sleeves for sun protection. Despite the long sleeves I don't overheat in the shirt and the fit is perfect ... not too tight and not too loose. And it's long enough that I can be in the drop handlebar position. The Lava color seems to be a good one for being visible to traffic. And my girlfriend likes the shirts.

    The REI Fleet long-sleeved running shirt has been a great product in general for me. It is a great fit on my frame, which is 5'11'', 175lbs and average proportions. It breaths well and has performed well on hikes, camping trips, and in hot weather. Also, it's sexy!

    The negatives have been a single snag in the fabric and small stains. I have only had this shirt for a month and a half, so I was disappointed that they happened so soon, but I feel that these flaws are due to the nature of the fabric (100% recycled polyester) rather than the design or craftmanship in the garment.

    Overall, I would recommend this shirt if you are looking for a synthetic shirt for running or backpacking.
