The North Face Barrage Triclimate jacket combines breathable, waterproof protection with a removable fleece liner for zip-in warmth.

3-in-1 versatility: wear fleece jacket alone, combine it with the outer jacket for added insulation or wear the outer jacket alone
2-layer HyVent™ nylon shell keeps you dry while letting moisture escape; all seams are sealed for complete protection
Attached fully adjustable hood
Center-front zipper with rip-and-stick exterior stormflap; brushed chin-guard lining is soft next to skin
Barrage Triclimate shell features self-fabric ribbed cuffs and zippered hand pockets
Novelty 100-weight fleece knit liner jacket adds warmth with very little weight; features hand pockets, a neck drawcord and self-fabric elastic cuffs
Standard fit ensures freedom of motion

I was looking for a jacket that was both warm and waterproof for the pacific northwest. I returned the Taku jacket because it was not warm enough and the hood hit me on the back of the head. This jacket has it ALL. You can wear it in the winter, spring, summer and fall. So comfortable and now I only need one jacket!! Warm but not stifling hot. Love it.

I love this jacket! I bought it after I returned the NF Venture Jacket. It fits well, is comfortable and the two jackets can be worn together or separately. Great deal for the price :)

I rushed to REI to purchase a jacket for a trip the next day. I was surprised to find this jacket on sale and in my size. I usually wear plus-size 16/18...so I was afraid that I wouldn't find anything that would fit - the fit was OK (4-stars).
I was looking for something that would be comfortable and keep me warm - this jacket did just that! I wish it came in other colors!!!

I was surprised at how lightweight it is. Didn't think that it will keep me warm but it does. I can't say how it will work for the harsh winters elsewhere in the country, but for the cold, wind and rain in Northern California, it will keep you warm and dry. Another plus is that it looks really nice. I am very satisfied.
