Comments about Kurgo Wander Hammock Seat Protector:
This product works well for us. Bought it for the back seat of a jeep...Our 80 lbs dog had use of the entire back area before getting this hammock. The hammock is extremely durable! Our dog is in and out of it all the time and we have not had any tearing issues of any kind. The hammock seems to be more comforting for our dog since it encloses her somewhat...eventho she still sits in the front seat when we arent there! I would recommend this product. It does its job. We have had this hammock for about a year. I will buy another when and if needed.

Comments about Kurgo Wander Hammock Seat Protector:
This is truly one of the worst products I have ever bought.
The material is low quality plastic and there is even a question that it is the grade plastic which the manufacture claims. My dogs do not put a lot of wear on hammocks as they just jump in the car and go to sleep. However I was already replacing this Kurgo Hammock in less than a year and the second one in 10 months. I spent a little more money and bought the Duragear Velvet Hammock and it has lasted years. The design of the Kurgo is ok except that to attach or detach the accompanying carrybag you have to dismantle one side on the hammock to just get it on and off. They could have made this much easier by adding a couple of clips to the bag - but I suspect this was just another area that the manufacturer wanted to "cut corners". The real joke of this product is the silly little straps (read: strings) that are provided to secure the hammock to the seat. They simply do not serve that purpose and so this hammock is moving around all the time and not protecting all of the seat. There are a couple of velcro strips that are seat belt openings and the velcro on these lasted less than 3 months and then would not close again. So once again dirt is falling onto the seat below through these openings. It is very, very difficult to clean, frays easily and, frankly, never cleans up completely. When I called the company they had no ideas or suggestions on how to clean it. Need I say more? Put another way all materials in this product are very poor quality (at this price) and all sorts of shortcuts have been taken in the manufacture of it.
Summary - design initially looked good but quality of workmanship and materials don't live up to advertising or price. It's a waste of money. Try the Duragear product. I know no one who has that product that would consider a Kurgo hammock. If you get a chance just hold both and that will make the decision for you.

Comments about Kurgo Wander Hammock Seat Protector:
I have an '09 WRX and 2 pugs that shed a LOT. Now instead of them sitting on the passenger side floorboard, they get to ride in style in the back seat. The hammock keeps almost all their fur from getting on the seats, and they now have room to play or spread out and nap on long road trips. The hammock is easy to set up and easily covers my entire backseat. The sides sometimes curl up away from the seat, and that's how some fur still manages to get on the seat itself, but their is a plastic loop on each end to secure the sides, I just haven't rigged anything up yet.
There is a zipper to divide the hammock in case there is a backseat passenger, however my pugs shed so much, I just fold it over rather than having someone sit in all the collected fur.
The pugs and I enjoy the new seating arrangements, and look forward to years of use of our new hammock :)

I take my dog to the dog park everyday and this hammock ripped at one of the seams after 3 months. I exchanged it and it happened again. This was really disappointing because I loved the way it fit in my car and kept the dirt off the floor and seat.

I have 2 GSP's, about 70# each,we travel frequently in a Toyota Tundra, extended cab with cloth seats in the rear. I have tried three simular products, this is by far the best, sturdy and easy to clear. I use the supplied underseat straps and the cover stays in place nicely. The foot well in the rear becomes "out of sight" storage when the cover is in place.

I drive a quad cab Ram truck. This covered about 70% of rear bench seat. The material is not heavy enough to stay in place or lay flat. It's basically a tarp and my dog hated it too!

I bought this for my Labradoodle to use in my black-interior SUV. This hammock is really great! It covers both bath-seats and the back of the front-seats. When using previous seat-covers, I would still get dog hairs ALL over the place, but this hammock keeps most of the hairs off of the seat. I have not washed it yet, but it doesn't seam to show any signs of wear yet. I was put off by the price at first because I could find [$]seat covers elsewhere, but this hammock is well worth the money!

Comments about Kurgo Wander Hammock Seat Protector:
Purchased this for a Subaru Impreza WRX to control dog hair in the car. It installs quite easily and has a clever design that allows you to unzip a portion to allow use of a seat (split bench) when in use. The only problem was that the surface that touched the seats is slick (plastic-ish). As such, it didn't stay put on leather seats and slipped back and forth - not great for fido when going around corners. It would probably work better on cloth seats. Also, it secures at the headrests (front and back) but that's it. There's no way to secure it to the seat bases themselves, which makes for a poor fit in the car we had it in. Add a gripper surface and ability to secure it at the seat base and it would be great. However, for our rig, it didn't work out so we returned it.
