Comments about Fenix E10 Flashlight - Special Buy:
It is a pretty decent light on its own. If the Fenix L0D the were not available from REI now for just a little more money, I would give this one another star. It just suffers too much in comparison to the L0D.
The L0D is smaller, lighter, brighter, and can have longer battery life if you use the three brightness levels intelligently. It also can sit on a table pointing straight up for inside lighting.
The few dollars extra buys you so much more.

Comments about Fenix E10 Flashlight - Special Buy:
Seems Fenix may be searching for an entry level light to broaden its consumer base with this one. It has a simple UI (on/off), forward clicky (when you push the button it comes when it clicks, a reverse clicky comes on after you let go of the button once it clicks.) It offers momentary on (turns on with a light press of the button before clicking, you can let go of it to turn off). A little bulky when compared to other offerings in the AA size light but otherwise no complaints from me in the size/weight department. Unless you're a flashaholic(a die hard flash light enthusiast), this is a great little light for the casual user who don't multiple modes of lighting (ex: low, strobe, SOS). My particular model has a slightly greenish tint, if you care about those things. But hotspot and spill are pretty good for this price(I didn't have rings or weird artifacts with my model). At this price, I don't stress too much about loaning it out to my friends for an every day carry. My only complaint is that it can't tail stand due to the fact the rear button protrudes outward, else I'd probably bump it up to 5 stars.

Comments about Fenix E10 Flashlight - Special Buy:
This is a great little light. It is bright when its on, and not bright when its, well, off. If this sounds like what you need, then this light does the trick.
I come from a world of $5 cheap-o lights from the hardware store, and when this went on REI's Deal-of-the-Day, I snapped it up and haven't looked back. The quality is immediately evident and it is wildly bright compared to what I'm used to. Plus, just by its feel I know it can take any beating I throw at it. I went on a cave tour in Belize where we had to do lots of climbing/swimming/hiking etc., and I wish I had this guy instead of my hardware store special.
On the other hand, if I were in the market to buy a fancy flashlight and this WASN'T on double sale, I would have probably gone with the L0D like the previous reviewer said. For a few more dollar, you get a lot more light: brightness settings, strobe, S.O.S., and the ability to stand it on end. On my headlamp (a Princeton Tec Scout), the strobe is my favorite setting because it gets you lots of light without dilating your pupils too much, and it saves on battery life too. I also wish the beam was a little broader, because at ~15 feet the hot spot is only a foot or two wide, but there is still plenty peripheral light, so its not too big of a deal.

Generally an all around good flashlight that seems very well built. I haven't tested the water resistance but it seems like it will hold up to the elements very well.

Comments about Fenix E10 Flashlight - Special Buy:
I bought four of these, one for myslef and three as gifts. I use mine at work; it's small enough to fit in my pocket, extremely light and takes standard batteries. If you are looking for a small, bright light this is it.

Comments about Fenix E10 Flashlight - Special Buy:
Bought a couple during a "Deal of the Week" and recently used them extensively over a week of hunting. I lent one to a friend during that week to get his impressions. Relatively compact and throws a good distance. Battery life was quite good. Doesn't have a beam focus but I can usually live without it. I especially like the on/off button on the end which is easier to use one-handed vs. my Mini-Mags. Just bought several more for my daughters and to keep one in my cars.
