- Lightweight, tough nylon fabric dries fast and wicks moisture away from your skin; spandex adds shape retention and a touch of stretch

I've worn these camping in 20degree weather (with a base layer) and during the hotest part of our summer. Basically they're fantastic all year long. I love the convertible legs when I'm fishing/hiking. I own three pairs, and wish I could find more pants like these.

So I was having a hard time finding hiking pants in plus sizes- apparently plus sized women aren't suppossed to be active! Anyway, then I found REI and was so excited.
These Rondevous pants are awesome. They fit great. The stretchy material makes them perfect for hiking and they are breathable too. I am 5 ft 9 in and the length is perfect for me even with my hiking boots on. The zippers on the legs are capri length on me.
I would agree with others that these pants are "slim fit" but given the stretchy material, I would expect them to be.
I tested them out on a short hike a few weeks ago and they were super comfortable. No rubbing/chafing anywhere. The breathable material is great while the pants don't feel too thin.
I wish these were still available in my size since I would buy a few more pairs!!

I have several pair of this type of pants (hiking). These are by far the best ones I've bought. The fit is perfect, they are very comfortable, and ajustable. My only con is that REI does not offer any other color but grey. I could really use black, green, tan, brown and even camo!

Bought these after discovering the REI Escalante Pant was no longer being made. I found them to run a bit big so went down a size. I like that they have a drawstring so I can adjust them as needed. Length is good and I like that the zip off's are below the knew. Wore them for a day running errands just to see if they were keepers and they did well. Breathable, flexible and overall comfortable.

For me, pants are the most difficult clothing item to buy. I wear a 16, but those vary so widely (too tight in the thighs, too loose in the waist) depending on the cut and the rise. I'm glad I went into the store to try these on. I ended up buying the 18W size, something I hated to see, but they were the ones that fit comfortably and gave me room to move. They are a little bigger in the waist than I'd normally wear, but the inner drawstring comes in really handy. I wore these pants on an overnight backpacking trip. I was pleased with the quality and the fit. I can't really say that these weren't "true to fit" because I hardly know what a true size is anymore. I'm very happy with the length of the zipped off capris as I think zippers on the mid-thigh would not have been comfortable.

These pants are awesome! I paid attention to the other reviewers and ordered a size up and they fit great. They are a little large in the waist, but the drawstring fixes that. I find their stretchy material comfortable when sitting or kneeling which makes them great for canoeing and camping. The material is lightweight which will be perfect for summer and travel. I wish they came in more colors,

I really like these pants a lot. I purchased both colors. I am pleased to say the brown is more neutral than I though it would be. I just wish there were MORE colors. We are going to be traveling in Europe and want to limit the amount of clothing and weight. The pants work out perfectly; Light weight and with some stretch!
Finding a Plus size was great especially one that converts to a capri. More PLUS sized please!!
They really fit me quite well too. I am 5'7" and about 190lbs.

FINALLY!!! Fat-girl pants that DONT make you look like a balloon! These fit great - similar to Levi's 515 jeans. They stretch just enough, move with you, and look stylish. Waist sits just right so you don't look like you have on mom-jeans. I'm kinda short (5'3") and the length is good, not a mile too long like alot of pants. First plus-sz hiking pants that I have LOVED !!!!

I love this pant! The fit is excellent except for the waist which is a little large; however, there is an adjustable waistband. I love the lower rise. There is adequate room in the hip, but the pants themselves are not too loose. I love the zip capri for warmer weather. Overall, a terrific hiking capri/pant as well as perfect for beach and family activities.
