This girls' Marin Hidden Canyon 20 in. bike boasts all the performance of adult mountain bike, but in a kid-friendly size, and includes a suspension fork and nimble, tough frame.

  • 6061 aluminum frame features double-butted construction and shaped top and bottom tubes to withstand demanding use
  • Suntour XCT-JR suspension fork works just like those on adult bikes, and with 40mm of travel, it soaks up bumps and helps rider maintain control
  • Double-chainring crankset is paired with a 7-speed cassette for a total of 14 gear combinations to facilitate easy spinning
  • SRAM MRX twist shifters work fast and are easy to use with a quick flick of the wrist
  • Linear-pull hand brakes provide controlled deceleration
  • Durable Kenda dirt/street tires provide a stable ride at slow speeds and work great on packed trails or the around cul-de-sac

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home.       Comments about Marin Hidden Canyon 20" Girls' Bike - 2012:

      Looked at numerous other kids bikes at several stores. This bike was top quality of all models I saw. My daughter transitioned from a 16 inch to 20 inch easily. The smooth gears make hills easy for her. Grip shifting was easy for her to learn. Bike has very smooth front suspension, good brakes, and excellant balance.

      Only wishes are room for a water bottle holder and a higher handle bar. Low handle bar improves technical riding and is consistent with mountain bikes, but not as comfortable on longer trips for a child. Most 20 inch bikes sit the child upright a little more.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
