REI Venturi shorts are not only a necessary trail companion, but a welcome one as well! These shorts have stretch for easy mobility and comfort, and a quick-drying, water-shedding face.
- Relaxed fit and 9 in. inseam provide easy movement that maximizes comfort
- Nylon woven ripstop fabric through the main body of the shorts has a Durable Water Repellent finish to help shed moisture and resist stains
- Durable, double-weave polyester/spandex back panel and center gusset provide 4-way stretch for excellent range of motion and comfort; fabric resists abrasion
- Features a moisture-moving, tricot-lined waistband, zip fly and snap closure; internal waistband cord cleat allows you to dial in the fit
- Side-entry hand pockets and 2 low-profile, bonded zip thigh pockets offer secure stowage for trail essentials

These are very lightweight, breathable, and dry quickly. I found on a hike up some large sand dunes that they really move with you without bunching and are comfortable. They are durable, are made well and look great too. I wish they came in other colors.

I just bought these shorts to go on a back packing trip thru Arches NP, the Grand Canyon, Havasu Falls and Lake Powell. The trip was EPIC and so were my shorts. I normally wear a 4 and the 2 fit perfect. Most outdoor hiking shorts have a smaller waist and bigger hips and I'm opposite, so was super happy that the waist wasn't cutting into me and the hips didn't make me look wide. I wore them for 2-10 mile in and out hikes with a full pack and they stayed where they were supposed to with no chaffing. They dried almost immedietely and even after all that time in dusty, dirty red rock canyons, they looked perfectly clean. Def recommend for everyone!! Enjoy!

I now have three pairs of these shorts because they are so comfortable! I teach Physical Education during the week and participate in dog agility in the evenings and weekends. They are lightweight, breathable, have good pockets and look good. They also have an adjustable waistband for those of you with smaller waists than hips. I wore these shorts in the rain at a dog agility competition and they were the only thing that felt dry at the end of the day. I highly recommend these to anyone.

I'm not usually a big fan of REI shorts or pants as they don't quite fit me right, but these shorts are awesome. I am 5'8", about 130 lbs and fit. I think the length is good, but a friend of mine has them who is shorter and she thinks they are a bit long. I love the pockets. I wish I could get them in other colors. There is a similar pair in khaki, but there are two zippers and no side pockets - and they just aren't quite as flattering.

I am always looking for durable, flattering, every-day attire and found these one day. I am athletically built and found it difficult to find shorts that were made for a curvy, toned, girl like myself. These are amazing. Perfect rise (about 1" below my belly button) comfortable hips, length.
The material is awesome, spilled water on myself while driving and it just rolled right off. I want them in more colors and am a fan for life!
