Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

I had purchased the REI polar pod, but while warm is was a bit big for my intended use, so after a few seasons upgraded to this bag. It packs significantly smaller than the polar pod. Though there are smaller bags, not many in this price range with a 0 degree rating. It's a very warm bag, even around 20° it is super comfy and I've never even been chilled in it. The hood is excellent, fits well, and really retains the heat. The zipper is a bit stiff. I've never actually had it jam on me as others have reported, but sometimes have to work it a bit to get it sliding. Some silicone would probably help. It has leaked a few down feathers, but after more than 30 nights it's still plenty warm.

Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

At first it might be a little difficult to unzip and you could feel a bit claustrophobic inside, so if you suffer from claustrophobia you might want to look for a different option. Overall, this is by far the best sleeping bag i've ever owned and even though it is a bit pricey, it's worth every penny, especially if you are an avid camper like me. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality sleeping bag for mild to cold weather.

Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

I went winter camping for a night in Mt. Rainier National Park about a month ago - my first winter camping trip. This sleeping bag performed phenomenally in temperatures in the mid-20's. I felt almost like I was at home in my own bed. I can't attest to how it performs in lower temperatures, but I'm positive I would have been very comfortable at least another 10 degrees cooler.

i really didnt want to return this bag but the zipper stuck every time, horrible in cold weather when you have frozen fingers . well made but needs better zipper. its a bit cold due to compression around knees, butt, back when you compress it, other than that....nice

Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

Just took it on my first camping trip to Glacier Nat'l. Park. Very warm with an (R4.8)insulated sleeping pad at 30 degrees. Don't use with Coleman type camping mattress; you'll be cold!

Zipper kept getting stuck and the velcro on the collar would snag my sleeve when using the zipper.

Collar and Hood works great..very snug.

Enough room to move around and put my clothes at my feet to keep them warm for morning.

I would definately recommend this to women who are 5'-7" and up. Slept great!

Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

I bought this bag for a 10 day canoeing trip down the Yukon river in August. Sleeping in a Hennesey Hammock without any other insulation it kept me warm every night, despite being able to see my own breath on the coldest nights and when others with similar rated bags were suffering from the cold.

On the warmer nights I would leave the top unzipped and still stay warm. I did wake up with down that had 'leaked' onto me, though I don't now how much of this was 'normal leakage' for a down bag.

As somebody who is left handed I did find the zip a bit awkward to use once or twice as it appeared to snag.

The bag comes with a 20L stuff sack, though in practice it can be compressed a bit further still.

Comments about REI Radiant +0 Sleeping Bag:

Purchased this sleeping bag for its warmth and best bang for the buck. This thing is warm in the twenties, sweating in the the thirties with minimal clothing on in conjunction with the therm-a-rest prolite plus sleeping pad in both conditions inside a tent. Have not use it in the single digits, but am confident it will still keep me warm.

The thing I don't like about the sleeping bag is that it leaks down feathers every time I takes it out of the storage sac, every time I takes it out of the stuff sac, and every time after a night sleep. Its not a lot, but is annoying. That might be something to thank about in terms of its quality and long term use effectiveness or it may be just the bag I purchased.

The bag also packs large. For comparison, the sleeping bag fills up a standard school backpack with a little of room left, but, off course this is without compression. In the stuff sac that comes with it, it packs tight and it's still large.

Overall, this bag does the job of keeping me warm in cold weather so I can't complain much. My rating is average and ordinary. I would recommend it for its warmth and price.
