- Sturdy yet lightweight nylon fabric is blended with spandex for ample 2-way, vertical stretch so pants won't bind or catch on a far reach

These are great pants, like everyone says, comfortable, super for travel, work, daily life, and fast-drying. They are quite stylish, I think. But REI, I wish you (and other manufacturers) would simply bite the bullet and provide short and long inseam options on all your pants -- certainly on all the higher-end styles like these. I am 5'4" and I will have to take these for hemming. They are probably 2" too long for me to wear with low heels/flats. I'm willing to do this only because I bought the pants on sale, but the customer should not have to do this, I feel. I'll get a lot of wear from these so it's worth it to me but will I buy a second pair? I don't know. If you had them in short inseam, I would. Also the color options are very limited, as on other REI pants. The only other minor complaint: these are somewhat noisy -- they make a swishing sound when you walk, but it's not so loud that it bothers me. Hope REI will keep these in production as they really are a great item, but please add longs & shorts! Hey, folks, 5'4" is *average* height for U.S. women!

Purchased these to take on my bike trip across the country this summer. They are super-duper stretchy and comfortable; they feel like yoga pants! The fit is excellent, and very flattering, and the fabric is super light weight and breathable. The seams, even at the crotch, are very comfortable, making them great even for biking. Also, there's a really nice soft band around the waist that prevents the pants from digging in when you sit like a lot of waistbands do, plus there's a drawstring in addition to the snap closure.
The only thing a little weird is that the pocket edges show a little in the front of the pants. Not too badly, though.
In conclusion, I'm never taking these off. Ever.

I am OBSESSED with these pants! They are comfortable and cute beyond belief! I am lean, but I am also on the curvy side, and these fit perfectly on my waistline without being too tight around my hips and rear. I seriously LOVE these pants - I want to buy them in more colors, but they only offer two. REI, PLEASE MAKE THESE IS A KHAKI COLOR!

These pants are by far the most comfortable recreational pants i own. They are extremely light (7.3 oz). They allow free movement, no binding on my legs etc.
Current color choices are black and grey. Would love to see light colors available (beige, tan). These would then replace my older REI hiking pants for summer (black is too hot to wear hiking in the summer)

These pants are just about the best thing thats ever happened to me! As an avid hiker and backpacker who is also a bit fashion obsessed these were the least-ugly pants I've ever seen, they are super lightweight and stretchy(they feel like yoga pants). Very flattering in the back, although the waist is a little big compared to the hips (this could just be my classic woman problem of big hips/thighs and tiny waist) quick drying and just all around amazing. They work great as either capris or pants and are nice enough to wear off of the trail. I wore them for a week long backpacking trip along the lost coast in April and they survived the rain, wind, salt water and sunshine.

The pants were very comfortable. They stretch out a bit with wear so don't be worried if they seem a bit tight when you first put them on. I wore them on a long international flight and was very comfortable. I loved being able to roll the cuffs up to a capri length. The gray color is very versatile. I used them for my trip to Poland and Prague. They will be what I wear on my trip to London/Paris in a few weeks.
