If you use bungee cords to secure equipment to your rack, it's time to upgrade. This net holds down your stuff down super well! You have so much more confidence than any rope and/or bungee cord system. The only con is that the hooks come off a little easily which can be difficult when putting it on, however I believe that was done intentionally to increase its versatility. For less than $7, it's a no-brainer.

So, the net is fine, but the hooks are small, and a couple slipped of my basket in the back, and then finally lost it riding. I went into REI, and found a similar net but with typical bungee cord hooks which work way better.

I love these nets. They are much more versatile than bungee cords, and safer, too: no worries about an end flying up and hitting you in the face. I use these for attaching my sleeping bag, tent, and other miscellany to my rack when touring, and they have never given me any trouble.
