I bought this jacket to use as my shell for skiing, but had to return it because the material seemed very thin and flimsy. It seemed as if it would rip very easily and I spend the majority of the time skiing in the trees. I thought the material would be thicker and more durable, especially since it claims to be a "backcountry necessity." I never wore it on the slopes, so I can't speak to its warmth or windproofness, but judging by the thinness of the fabric, I imagine it would not be very warm/windproof.
