The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromGood bandanas I've been using these bandanas for a few months now. They really do get super soft after a few washes. Probably around 5-10 washes for me. Not sure why other reviewers have reported otherwise. Maybe I just got a good batch.

by fromJust wear and wash 'em...a lot. I've read other comments about the cotton's stiffness and agree, but... When I ordered a stack a couple of months ago (got 5 as I tend to misplace such things and was tired of searching when I wanted to be running), I was disappointed that they arrived nearly shiny, so thin and nonabsorbent. I use them a lot anyway, get 'em very sweaty, and wash them frequently. As a result, they are now softening up nicely. Perhaps the prolonged break-in time is a precursor to long fabric life?

by fromMy favorite Bandana's Made in the USA, not too over priced, good array of colors, & durable. I always bring at least two on every trip into the back country. One of the best pieces of multipurpose gear I pack.

by fromPaisley Bandana I have a few of these and love them. I wear them hiking and cleaning. My children also love wearing them. I have had them a few years and they are still in great shape after much wear and many washes. The material of mine is soft. I'm not sure if it has changed. Maybe check them out in a store if you can, but for the price, you can't beat them.

by fromI loved all the colors. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is receiving chemotherapy. I have one on my head daily. The wide choice of colors make my outfit complete.

by fromDon't backpack without one...or two or three. These are great for everything from tying around your neck or head, stuffing under your hat to keep your neck shaded, drying a tent floor after you had to set up in the rain, washing something, drying out your cook pot, making a bindle for that upcoming hobo train ride, the possibilities are endless. Regarding the stiffness of the fabric: just wash it. Once. That's all it takes. Seriously.

by fromMade in USA. Good for headbands. It is true that these aren't very soft (at least not at first; I haven't washed mine many times). I like this because I fold mine into a headband and the stiffness makes it easier to fold straight lines. I could see how you might want them softer. I like that the ones of these I've bought were made in the USA and the price is good.
