The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
Sam is our first short-haired dog, and I didn't realize how differently the cold would affect him. Did some research online, and it seemed that Ruff Wear was one of the better lines of dog coats. He's had it on for a couple of hours (left it on even after we came inside), and he doesn't seem to mind it; it did take a few minutes for him to get used to it.
Before the coat, Sam did not like going outside in the cold weather. I almost felt bad when we had to go out. But, with the coat on, he has a complete change of heart. So, so far, so good.
Just a note regarding sizing, another review (another site) said that the coat seemed to run a bit small (even though it's supposed to be a snug fit), so she ordered the next size up. Sam's girth measures 27", and per the sizing guidelines, a small should fit him. I went ahead and bought the medium, and I'm glad I did because I think the small would have been too small.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
Before I begin, I have a German Shepherd that does competitive obedience trials. The product is well made and is easily cleaned in the washing machine. Ruff Wear as a company has great customer service and will take exchanges directly. I bought this so my dog could go outside in light rain to "do her business" without getting wet all over.
It takes a while for the dog to get used to the jacket, but onces they "get it", there are no problems after. Although the jacket fits, it is somewhat restrictive around the front sleeves where the dogs shoulders and legs are. The jacket seems to be made for skinnier dogs with narrow shoulders and slim muscles. My guess is that this causes the jacket to be a tight fit around the dogs front shoulder and upper part of the front legs. Especially if they are a burly rottweiler, german shepherd, anatolian or mastiff breed. My dog doesn't look uncomfortable in it, but its still too tight in these areas by my estimations. Its looks like the jacket is designed specifically for weimaraners, dobermans, vizslas, greyhounds or dalmatians
The jacket is only water proof on top. It really should have some gortex on the belly side, not polyester. In the rain the dog will stay dry on top and get soaked underneath. I know the jacket needs some cloth section to breath, but having a soaked belly doesn't seem like a good compromise. Also the reflective strip is really bad. A car in the dark would never see it at a distance. The reflective strip should be larger and wider, so as to be more visible at a distance. It will work as a "tummy saver" in a pinch, but won't last long at all in that role. The material is too thin. Ruff Wear also sells a branded battery powered red led flasher (a little pricey for what it actually is), but just about any generic safety strobe will fit in the loop on the top of the jacket (the kind sold for joggers etc).
I would rate it 3 and a HALF stars, but you can't. If a few things got tweaked in the design, this jacket would be a perfect all-rounder.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
Not sure if we have the exact same model but ....A long time dog owner with most experience with big breed hunting dogs and never had dog garments ....brought my wife's poodle bischon mix from tropical Thailand in Jan. to ski slopes of the Cascades Seattle in winter.
Jacket kept her warm is easy to put on, very weather proof and keeps a low rider dog in Seattle with long curly hair dirt magnet very clean on every walk.
We leave coat on after her walk and hose her feet off. She stays dry and is easy to clean. Only complaints I've seen online say that on prolonged trips the coat irritates where it rubs around leg joints.
My reply is if you wore the same underwear for several days and never took it off you'd probably have similar abrasions and discomfort.
From comments at the dog park ... where'd you get it... fits good, doesn;t restrict activity ..
This is a great high quality product . I'd recommend checking out a product from this company.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
This jacket fits deep-chested dogs like vizslas very well. The full wrap-around keeps these short-haired dogs warmer then other more open covers I've tried and keeps the jacket from shifting during activities. The tight fit helps prevent snow from getting inside and there's nothing hanging down below to accumulate ice or get in the way when the male urinates.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
My boxer loves to wear this jacket out on walks during the winter. NY is windy and cold this time of year, and that doesn't seem to phase her when she wears this jacket. The reflectors in the side are highly visible to traffic, so we are no a surprise to drivers when we walk down the street at night. A good buy, but wish it was a little less expensive.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
REALLY wish this product fit properly, seems like it could be a great product. Unfortunately, for my 50lb American Pitbull Terrier Mix who evidentally has a wide chest yet skinny girth, this jacket completely restricts the moevement in her front legs so much that she can't fully extend her leg. Following the advice of another reviewer, I ordered a Medium for her 27" girth- it fit fine around her belly but made her walk like a Penguin in the front. Contemplated cutting slits in the armpits, but at this price I want it to properly fit.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
We just returned from the coldest outdoor romp yet - the wind chill is currently minus 13 degrees F. Walking the dog off-leash along the frozen banks of the Mississippi river in Minnesota on new-year's day with wind gusts of 31 miles per hour was grueling for we humans, even though we were heavily bundled up. But our dog showed no signs of discomfort wearing her comfy jacket. She is a medium-sized short-haired mongrel, and has shivered easily without the jacket on. But the jacket has never failed to keep her warm and dry. It sheds rain, blocks wind and provides great coverage. She loves putting it on because it means we'll be doing something fun. It has never restricted her movements, chafed or bothered her in any way. She has worn it for every outdoor activity since we got it in November. It's easy to put on, fuzzy inside, weather proof outside, and looks great. It's very well engineered to work perfectly without any problems. (No, I don't work for the manufacturer.) It's well worth the price.

I put it on my dog when it's raining and now in the winter during the "wintry mix" weather and for those ultra cold and windy days.

Awesome coat overall. I have a very active Vizsla who loves this coat and doesn't seem to be hindered in any way when wearing it. My only complaint is it's a bit baggy in the rear, this coat would probably better fit a lab type dog.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Dog Jacket:
Jacket works perfect for our uses in hiking, snow, rain, cold, etc. She now knows when we pull out the jacket it means going somewhere fun which makes putting the jacket on a little more difficult.
She has an approximate 17-18 inch girth and we got the XS. The XXS was too small and the XS is a "comfort" (vs performance) fit, but is about an inch too long. She is about 15 lbs.
