In 2010 I spent May-Oct at a remote ranch near the Windriver range in Wyoming.
I found the Eco 3 at a local Store where I was properly fitted by a professional. It was recommended to go up 1 size - so my normal 8,5 became a 41.

I never looked back. I wore this wonderfully light and comfy boots almost every day hiking or light back packing in and around the Windriver Range. They kept me comfortable through blizzards and in hot summer weather. Even after a 18 mile hike up and down Jack As Pass my feet did not feel sore.

I figure after about 300some miles they should have another Summer in them. I just replaced the inner sole with pink "superfeet" and we are rolling again. this time in Idaho.

My only complaint is, I have to wear gators most of the time to avoid debris getting in to the boots.
Perhaps upgrading to the higher FC 4 might solve this minor problem.

This is my 3rd generation of La Sportiva hiking boots and so far the best.

I also love their new Quantum Trail Runner (go up 1 size)

I have a rather narrow foot and heel and my gate is neutral.

After trying out an array of hiking boot, I came accross these Sportivas. They are so comfortable! From day one, they needed virtually no break in period, they have excellent support, traction and they are mostly vegan, which fits my lifestyle. I hike between 10-20 miles (if not more) every weekend and have backpacked with them without any support problem. They are handmade and have excellent Italian craftmanship. I am going to purchase my second pair. I hope they never get discontinued!

Took this in the maroon bells. Wasn't expecting the 5 feet of snow. These boots are deffnitly not water proof hahah but over all kept me warm and hiking. DONT PUT THEM TO CLOSE TO THE FIRE. They will burn. :)
