I bought the cotton version of KT Tape (this version) to help stabilize my knee after popping it out of socket while rock climbing; I put a lot of stress on my knee pulling through a heel hook and twisted my knee to the point that it popped.

I felt that the tape helped. The official website provides good video directions on how to tape for your injuries.

However, this cotton version gets messed up by clothing/normal wear far too easy. Just walking around home and sitting in bed it kept starting to peel at the ends within 24 hours. It does however seem to be unaffected by water as long as the tape is applied to the skin before wet; I was in the shower and peeled the peeling portion back...there was no getting it back on once itd gotten wet.

I keep saying "this version" because I actually meant to get the synthetic version of the tape that is supposed to be better support and longer lasting. I just ordered a roll of the synthetic and am hoping it is more durable (REI doesn't sell the synthetic version).

Bottom line it does what it is supposed to do but it doesn't live up to its claims for durability.

I'm going to say no I don't recommend this product because I recommend going for the synthetic version.

Love this product. I would have never been able to workout my shoulder kinks without it. This stuff is very sticky. I found that the skin must be relatively hair free (peach fuzz is ok) and wiped down with rubbing alcohol. Also, don't go into the water within an hour of applying (directions say 1/2 hour).
The videos online are good and the directions are much better (full color and detailed) than before. It usually helps to recruit your significant other/best friend to help you apply it. I found that making little marker dots on the area (when in a relaxed position) that the tape needs to be applied helps speed the process.

KT tape is the best tape I've ever used! It's really helping my plantar fasciitis heal while still allowing me to do moderate training as a long distance trail runner. Although, the boxed product comes with easy to use directions, the product website has videos that I strongly recommend for more precise instructions.
This is an excellent product.
I told my chiropractor about it (and showed it to him), he's now looking at getting this product for his clients.
