Comments about Black Diamond O1 Midstiff Telemark Binding - Regular - 2010/2011:
I had these for 1 1/2 seasons before they pulled out of my Rossi Ravyns and the toe plate snapped in two. The heel throws are made of brittle plastic that cracked on both bindings. I noticed the cartriges loosening on a daily basis, making me check them nearly every time. I wasn't cranking all that hard when they pulled out of the ski. Goging to try to get them repaired, but I think I'll get Hammerheads next time. They do ski and tour very well otherwise.

Comments about Black Diamond O1 Midstiff Telemark Binding - Regular - 2010/2011:
I bought these last year as part of an upgrade. I use them both in the back country and at resorts. In the back country the release feature makes long treks and ascents very easy. At the resorts, I was chasing my son down black diamond runs with relative ease. They were extremely stable, and exceeded all my expectations, especially since I weigh 240 lbs.
I have the normal "stiffness" cartridges, which are quite stiff and require a bit of effort to get locked in.

Comments about Black Diamond O1 Midstiff Telemark Binding - Regular - 2010/2011:
I've had 3 pairs of O1s, and all of them have play in them. If you move your skis side to side, you'll notice it... when they are brand new it's a great binding.
My advise for skiers who like so ski 10+ days/year or ski hard or are bigger, aggressive skiers... go with the Axls.

Comments about Black Diamond O1 Midstiff Telemark Binding - Regular - 2010/2011:
Have broken G3 Targas and Hammerheads [!]. And now all I ride are O1s. And, believe it or not, I have four pairs and haven't had an issue with one of them! The cartridges loosen up a bit after break in, so keep an eye on them and throw some Locktite on them if need be [the new red indicator on the cartridge is a nice touch]. I'm 150lbs and an aggressive tele skier and the Midstiff cartridges work great for me. Just enough give to get my knee to the ski when I want to. The free pivot tour is unbeatable. Doesn't ice up any more than anything else. Heavier and way better performance than Voile Switchbacks and lighter than Axels. I have yet to find a better binding for front and backcountry!
