    Comments about Spenco PolySorb Walker/Runner Replacement Insoles:

    I have used Spenco replacement insoles in all my hiking and running boots/shoes for many years.
    To me, they are the best available.
    Currently I use the "Polysorb" in my running shoes for cushioning and moderate arch support. After normal shoe-life of 450 to 500 miles, the insole will have a slight dimple under my big toe and is ready for a new pair of shoes.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      After about 200km with the original insoles in my new Keen Amblers, I wanted a skosh more padding under the balls of my feet so I took my Keens and socks to REI. The salesperson recommended the Spenco and they felt fine. Or so I thought.

      In less than 5km, the balls of my feet AND my toes were in agony. At first I thought the problem was with the uphill bits, but no, up or down or in the flats, it didn't matter. The wimp in me said to turn around but I was stubborn and kept going. I survived a 20km hike--barely.

      The original Keen insoles are back in for now and my fingers are crossed that I find the perfect insoles for my feet.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
