    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromAwesome bike I ordered this and although it took awhile to make it to me, due to the holidays it was worth it. I got it to use for indoor training on rainy days, However, i have since set up a TV and use it all the time. I started liking the Spin bikes at the gym, however, they don't feel like a normal bike. I also worry when i am exhausted that i will hyperextend my knee with the flywheel that keeps going. This bike feels just like a normal bike, i can stand up and coast and then continue pedaling. Feels just like the real deal. Stable and saves me from putting where and tear on my road bike. I only wish i would have now bought the upgraded one so i can see how many miles i am riding. Oh well, I don't want to return this and go without it, i am very happy with it.

In the winter I switch to a mountain bike as long as the roads are clear but when the black ice comes I move downstairs. I've tried bicycle trainers before and used a LifeCycle but nothing comes close to the ride and feel of the Cycleops Pro 100. I ride a Specialized Roubaix Pro and was able to take measurements off the Roubaix and dial them in on the Cycleops. The adjustment is precise. I added a set of Look pedals so I use my regular road shoes. Having the drop bars and simulated brake hoods makes for a very realistic riding position. The heavy flywheel, ease of tension adjustment and stable base makes it easy to get down in the drops or get out of the saddle for sprints and climbing. I didn't need the power model (Pro 400 and Pro 300) so I opted for the Pro 100 which is the bike but no computer. I did some research and found that the Bontrager Node 1 Computer with separate Cadence and Speed Sensors could be installed and I could use an existing HR Monitor and have everything I need - Speed, Cadence, Distance, Heart Rate, etc. Everything but Power. I now look forward to indoor training - it's more fun (and much harder) than I ever thought it could be. By the way - no one discounts these Trainers, but REI made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Become a Member - save 10%, open a Visa Acct. - save 5%, use the Visa card - get $100 gift card. This was definitely one of those times that even though it sounded too good to be true - it was. by fromIf you buy this machine you will be disappointed It is a a product that I enjoyed using until the paint became permanently damaged by sweat. As you can see in the attached photos, the machine looks terrible and unclean. I have never seen exercise equipment that is irreversibly stained by sweat, particularly at this price. The warranty expressly covers appearance, but Cycleops did not honor it. I made these comments in a review on the Cycleops web site, but they deleted them! I don't trust the company or their warranty. If you buy this machine you will be disappointed.

by fromavoid if avg height, built for very tall My wife bikes few times a week, with winter and wet weather, thought be great to get her an indoor bike, so she can continue to bike. Excited when ordering it, but very disappointed after getting it. The seat is just way too high, even at the lowest position is too high for her, average height 5'-3"; I am 5'-9" and lowest seat position is just about right for me. Guess this bike is designed for people 6' or above, as the seat can be adjusted for someone > 7'. Contacted REI and CycleOps, bought the low-ride adaptor online per CycleOps instruction, even that is too high for my wife... very disappointed, now have to get a new Christmas gift for her...

Just like when I am riding my real bike outside, I sometimes need to stop pedaling and stand up for a few seconds to stretch my legs or just rest. On a traditional spin bike, you can't do that easily. You have to slow down, and get the machine (pedals) stopped.. and when ready to go again, you have to spend energy taking it from zero to 60. The cycleops bike allows coasting like a regular bike so you can stand up on the pedals.. stretch.. and sit down and start pedaling again and you haven't lost as much momentum. It is much better for recreating the real cycling experience. Don't be surprised if you change the saddle to something you are used to which is what I did. It's sturdy and adjustable and I'm really happy with this purchase. The 100 has no electronics so if you are a data person and want to connect with others to do online spin classes, you should look at the 300 or 400 models cycleops offers.
