Comments about Fischer Xcelerator Skate NIS Bindings:
These bindings are lightweight, sturdy, and easily adjustable. I love the NIS design and the price is reasonable. These are some of the best racing bindings on the NIS platform.
However, I have had problems with both the skate classic version of the bindings over the past two seasons. I have found that the rubber flexor wears quickly (<100km on the flexor) and needs to be replaced. It seems that the rubber pad tears in two where it contacts the boot. I have tried these binding on three sets of skis and with several different boots, all with the same result. Luckily, the flexors are easily replaced, although you have to pay about $15 per pair. This is an additional expense to owning the bindings.
I am interested in seeing if others are experiencing similar problems.
