Comments about White Sierra Paradise Falls Down Jacket - Women's - Special Buy:

I've been wearing this jacket around town. It's cute, it's comfortable, the shape is flattering, the color is nice, and it's toasty on walks around town on a mild day. However, I wanted a warm down jacket for the mountain and other snow adventures this winter, and I'm not sure this jacket is going to cut it. It's way thinner than I expected- there just isn't that much down fill at all. I recommend this if you want a casual jacket- it's warm for how thin it is, but if you want rugged outdoor gear keep looking. It's definitely a good deal compared to other down jackets- I'm on a tight budget but if I can find a better jacket for a similar price this one's getting returned. That being said, the outer material is very good quality- I haven't had the trouble that others had with flimsy fabric. It feels like thick and durable nylon, and is fairly water resistant considering it's not supposed to be waterproof. Also, my boyfriend convinced me to get it in berry instead of black- I was worried the berry would be more pink in real life, and I think I was right. It's a gorgeous color if you want a pink jacket, but it looks a lot more burgundy in the photos.

Comments about White Sierra Paradise Falls Down Jacket - Women's - Special Buy:

I would definitely categorize this under "down sweater", not a jacket--it's very lightweight. But it packs down great and fits under a shell. In Alaska at -20 or -40 this will not hack it, and I'm glad I have bulky coats that will.
Perfect for active outdoors stuff, and running around town. Very cute--the berry color is bright and distinctive without being girly.
I bought a small, I normally wear small to medium shirts, and this is a good fit. It's loose in the shoulders for me, and a little tight around the hips.

Comments about White Sierra Paradise Falls Down Jacket - Women's - Special Buy:

I've been looking for a "down sweater" for a couple of years, so I was excited when this came up. This jacket is great for around town, walking the dog, hanging at the beach in the evenings, riding my bike to work. Just enough warmth for our mild SoCal winters, but when layered can rev up for cross-country skiing and such. I've had several compliments on the look. Had to get a medium instead of a large ( i usually go up to allow for layering) since it runs large. sleeves seem long to me, but it works since my hands are warmer!

I live in a very windy spot and it gets chilly in the spring and fall. This is a great layer piece but what I really liked was how it may not be windproof but it kept me warm when the wind was blowing!

Comments about White Sierra Paradise Falls Down Jacket - Women's - Special Buy:

This is a great jacket at a great price. I wore it skiing under a shell all winter and have never been so comfortable and warm. I did have to exchange a large for a medium - I'm pretty much a 10/12 in tops and usually lean toward large in jackets, but the L was a little too big. The M is perfect. Wore it on a trip to Utah and had no issues with durability getting on and off planes, lugging bags and ski boots, and climbing in and out of shuttles and rental cars. The Gecko green is a fun color too.

Thought this was a great deal and it is! Love the green color. Been wearing it alpine skiing under a shell and it's been great in a wide variety of weather conditions - keeping me warm in the single digits and not getting too hot in the high 20s. Have not seen any durability issues. Started with a large and had to swap out for a medium.

Comments about White Sierra Paradise Falls Down Jacket - Women's - Special Buy:

I bought this jacket because I thought it was a great deal. I needed a warm lightweight jacket. I was planning on using it for backpacking and under my outer shell for skiing and/or snowshoeing. The jacket is plenty warm; I worked up a sweat shoveling the driveway after just a few minutes. However, the first day that I wore it out it rubbed against a bathroom door stall and ripped! The rip is about 4" long; REI said they won't replace it because it is not due to faulty manufacturing (such as a seam ripping). Garbage!

I do know other people that have similar, and more expensive, down jackets and they have similar problems with overall durability. I have no faith that this jacket will last in the back country but I'm going to try my best to repair it. I better get good at it because I doubt this will be the only rip in the jacket.
