by fromGreat Socks I have been using these socks for years. During the winter I have heavy wool blend socks on with my boots. I switch to these little darlins in the summer and it feels great. Never get any chaffing or rubbing..... I fish and these dry quickly....a +....homesteader

by fromDoesn't hurt my toes I used my REI awards points and bought my second pair of WrightSocks. I have very sensitive feet and most socks hurt my toes where the seam goes across the top of them. These socks do not give me any problems and I love the way they "hug" my foot across the middle. I'm wearing them right now!

by fromNo blisters for a change Summer 2011 we backpacked from Lake Tahoe to Sonora Pass (100 miles). I was wearing my new Zamberlan boots (another review). All my life, I've been prone to blisters. Never got a single blister on the trip. My feet stayed nice and comfortable all day. I think I've put 200 miles on my first set of these socks. They are still in great shape. So are my feet!

by fromI wear them daily, comfortable, no odor I have worn these Wright socks daily for several years now (the design hasn't changed much). I use both the crew and quarter length: - low bulk: works well with a running or trail running shoe; the double layer does work and helps comfort the skin in high friction areas. There's no way a sock can eliminate blisters, especially if your shoe isn't properly fitted, but these are better than single layer or plain cotton socks. - no odor issues (at least none due to the sock): some synthetics seem to promote odor, but these are similar to cotton in that regard. Basically, wash your socks every day. - fast drying: when travelling light, I can hand wash and then hang dry these socks overnight. - long lasting - made in the USA: you don't see that much anymore in clothing. For lengthy hiking in a full sized boot, I still use a wool sock, which provides a bit more lofty padding and warmth when wet.

by fromA Good Innovation Got these as a gift then did a test hike up Dog Mountain in the Columbia Gorge. These socks require some attention putting them on to make sure the internal layer sits smoothly but once on they fit well and felt really good. They take up slightly less volume in a hiking boot that than a standard liner sock/hiking sock and for that reason, and because they are well ventilated, seemed to wick heat a little better than the two sock method. I finished this tough one-half day hike with no hot spots, no blisters, and no foot or boot dampness. All in all a good, innovative product that works at least as well and costs less than the liner/hiking sock tandem.

by fromFantastic sock. I have had loads of problems with my feet and have tried all combinations of socks, shoes, liners, etc. These are great. I have backpacked with these in dry and pouring down rain and they held up. The liner part is the softest fabric i have ever put on my feet. And even though they are a liner and a sock together, they are not so thick that they bunch up my toes. I used these this past summer on the Appalachian trail in PA and NJ (sections that are notoriously rough on shoes and feet) and they performed as well as I could expect. (I wore a pair of Salomen trail runners for shoes). If there is a "down side" - once they get wet, it takes a while to dry out since they are essentially, bi-layered. So if you are going to bring these on the trail...get a few pairs so you can switch them out because they will not be drying out over night, especially if you are in humid conditions. Also - i do plan on trying out the ones that are actually meant for backpacking, just to see if they perform as well, or maybe even better. Overall - i would definitely recommend these to people who feel they need a liner and a sock. This may cut down on your time and expense. As always, I highly recommend you try them out locally before hitting the trail and THEN realizing they don't work all that well.

by fromThese are the Wright Socks After getting blisters for the first time in several years, I decided to try different socks. What a delight these socks were compared to the wool socks I have always worn. My feet were far more comfortable, cooler and not a hot-spot to speak of anywhere. From the moment you put them on your feet, you will notice the difference. The quality is also excpetional and "Made in USA" a bonus for sure. Given them try and you won't be sorry.
